Be aware from these two very dangerous scammers

Lately I have posted a thread on BHW about Paypal's put my funds on hold for investigation.

Now today one of the payment ($220) has been reversed and I know the other payment of $220 will also be reversed soon as these both scammers bought youtube accounts from me 1K each and are using them for promoting same thing. I have tracked them bcz they were promoting same Share Cash. Org links.

I have got first payment on 21st April from:-

None provided
Personal information taken off as one BHW member said me to remove it

The second payment I got on 8 May, 2010 from:-

Paypal put funds on hold and started investigation on both cases on 8/5/10. and today the fund from brittany charleston has been reversed. I'm pretty sure that the second one will also be reversed bcz these both fuking trolls are a single man and promoting the same shit on youtube.

Now comes to paypal why the fuck paypal didn't put investigation earlier on the first case??? I got the first payment on 21 April and fking paypal held it on 8th May. almost after 20 days. WHY?? They are speechless morons and I know I can't expect any type of help from them.

I'm afraid bcz if a payment stick 20 days in our account and can be reversed easily without any problem then how the hell we can make sure that we are safe with Gaypal?? I can't get seller's protection as they clearly wrote in the terms that selling "intangible goods or services" can't have sellers protection.

Guys please suggest me how to prevent from such frauds? Earlier I have been scammed by some guys but that were a case of unauthorized payments but this case is different. I'm totally pissed. I have loosed my accounts as well the hard work and money.

Both of these scammers are not replying to me in anyway. I have sent them several mails but no replies. They said that they found my site via google and bought youtube accs but I guess they are here at BHW and found my site address here and then scammed me.

Guys be aware from these guys. One more thing is same in both transactions that these both have paid via CC not with paypal. as when I got funds there is clearly written:-

"(The sender of this payment is Unregistered)"

so as far as I know both of these bastard paid me via stolen Credit Cards using fake paypal accounts. what do u think?

It seems it is a new way to scam peoples which is really really very dangerous if you are dealing for $$$$. I want all of you guys to be alert and don't deal with any suspicious guy online bcz online world is full of scammers.

It's really hard to protect against this.

Paypal protections are slanted heavily on protecting buyers from sellers, not the other way around. Credit cards are the same, it takes very little to get a credit card company to reverse the charges on a purchase.

The seller has very little recourse. It's unfortunate, but thats just part of the cost of being in business nowadays.

lesson learned the harder way next time do your business transactions in different steps so that if the person is a scammer you wont at least have a big loss and if they from bhw you can open up a thread on the shit list section

dheer reply paypal ,they can't take your money back because you have not delivered them virtual goods so reply paypal

I had a similar thing happen to me except I was the buyer.

Basically the guy was selling a service and you were forced to purchase 3 months in advance totaling to nearly $500. A week or two later he ran on everyone and closed down his website, I opened a dispute with PayPal and they said there was nothing they could do about it..

These things happen and you have to try and learn something from it or it was all for nothing.

Hey Dheer,

There are some limited steps to be taken while accepting payment, always send them invoice (money request) to there emails as in most cases paypal do not refund money request.

Finally as you are selling services (most of us sell services via paypal), we have to accept it and move on.

Last thing as you sell YT accounts, why not burn and ship them via CD, this way you'll have tracking number, i know this is hassle but $200+ per transaction is good amount.

These things happen and you have to try and learn something from it or it was all for nothing.

@XoC-- As the buyer you have a lot more rights. If you funded the paypal purchase from your credit card or bank account you could have gone to your bank to resolve it. I had a paypal dispute once over a $1000 purchase I made and the scammer never shipped. I opened a paypal dispute and was told the same thing they told you, there was nothing they could do about it. I'm sure the reason was the guy had probably already pulled the money out of the account.

I went to my bank and they reversed the charge from their end, put the money back in my bank account that very day. A few weeks later I got an email from paypal saying that they found in my favor on the dispute after all. Once the bank takes the money back from paypal, all of the sudden they become more interested in getting the money back from who they sent it too. LOL

The lesson to learn from this is - Never fund a large purchase directly from your paypal balance. If you make a large purchase, always fund it from a creditcard or bank account.

If this is a legitimate occurance, you won't be having the bank do this very often. Paypal most likely won't close your account over it once, or a few times if you are using paypal a lot. If you use paypal a lot, they don't want to lose your business. If the bank takes the money back paypal will just deal with it on their end with the seller. If you do it a lot though I'm sure paypal would close your account.

The situation with the OP is different though.

The OP is the seller, and it was the buyer who filed the dispute. Since paypal still had his money on hold, it wasn't a big deal to them to find in the buyers favor and return the money.

He could sue the buyers over it to get the money owed him, but thats not likely to happen on an internet purchase because your dealing with transactions over long distances. The scammers know this and take advantage of it.

For the OP it means he got fucked. The money is gone and there's nowhere further to go with it.
