I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but he's not thinking like a loser, he's thinking like any intelligent person would.

It would be to your benefit to know the inner workings of G in order to exploit it. Now, if that means knowing whether or not inbound links can harm your SERPs, shouldn't you not want to know that?
Instead of bashing the OP, maybe someone with an answer to his question should step up. I would also like to know.
maybe you should read the guy's question....
he wants to know the inner workings of G to hurt other people's sites....
that's not black hat, that's vandalism....
I was wondering if this would work. There are ways to ping a blog without owning the actual blog. If you were in direct competition with the owner of that blog, could you spam backlinks, list in link farms, set up a continuous ping (once every 1 minute) on their blog, and all the other bad SEO promotion methods to their website to kill the google ranking? I wouldn't know why that wouldn't work, just seeing if anyone knows of any drawbacks from that besides time.
There is a discussion going on at Wickedfire right now... A well respected moderator there says that it is possible.
well goodie for them....i don't know about them, but i don't think knowing how to hurt other people's work is wha this board is all about...
