Due to the increasing number of scams via Telegram, I would like to write the following:

Unfortunately, Telegram has long been a 'tool' used by fraudsters to carry out 'their work' because they have this bad function where at any time someone can delete the chat and you will be left without what you paid for and without proof [for a later Dispute Resolution case].

That's why I'm asking you to do all communication exclusively through BHW!

In case you have to go to Telegram, keep in mind that at any moment anyone can delete everything, record your conversations, and take pictures if necessary of every message you send or receive, so you have all the proof.

One more very important thing, if someone contacts you through BHW and offers you their services, don't buy!

ALWAYS REPORT SUCH CASES!

First, you didn't ask for someone to contact you, the first red light should turn on in your head that something is wrong.

Second, it tries to take you to Telegram, another red light.

The third thing, why would anyone promote their products if you did not ask for them?

Please, stay safe and be careful, be careful who you work with, be careful who you send money to, and of course, be careful what and how you do on Telegram because it has become a paradise for scammers!

Of course, here I am referring exclusively to members who do not have a paid membership.

Have a great day and once again... Stay safe!

Good post, people needs to be reminded now and then, keep it up. Pin it.

Exactly, I have caught myself 100 times when someone tells me something that I already know, only to help me realize at that moment some of my mistakes.

Yes, everyone knows about this, but as you wrote, sometimes it is necessary for someone to write or say it.

I have an other tip for that and its easy
PLEASE ASK THE SELLER OR THE SERVICE PROVIDER TO ANSWER YOU BY COMMENT ON HIS THREAD.

You should pay attention who you send money to, and to avoid someone pretend his a seller, do that
simply ask him to answer on his thread selling.

Even buyers want to take the communication outside the bhw as soon as possible. I am talking about want to buy and hire a freelancer threads. Everyone needs to stop doing that and use bhw dm.

Thanks for this post. I got scammed 5 or 6 times this month on tg for more than 5k usd. All the scammers came from BHW.
Please, how can I report or warn others about these "nice" guys? Is there a section here where I can post their alias and proofs of their methods?
Thanks!

Everyone please feel free to share your opinion and ideas, more people share = more people are safer.

When I was telling people before they do any business with anyone, contact that person on Telegram and send some type of password, let's say "191" and tell them to DM you with that "password" back to BHW, people were laughing.

And it's very important to report, I ask everyone to always report, even if you get rejected for some reason, keep reporting, that's the only way to keep BHW clean from scammers [as much as we can], the only way is to help each other as a community, another way does not exist.

True, true... It's ok, OBS studio is free, just turn it on every time you start a conversation with someone.

As much as it sounds like "am I really gonna record myself typing", yes, that's how you protect yourself at Telegram.

Thank you!

Good and much needed post.

Sorry to hear about it.

It happened to me also, I was not scammed, but it came from someone I was looking at as a "friend".

Years later he did it again but, a lesson was learned.

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

Someone scammed me this way.
I needed this guidance earlier.
Anyway Thank You.

Once again, report stuff you see, report "I sell this and that" in your inbox.

If you are new, there is an option to report your message/s, use it, please!

Did you open a dispute against them?

Here is how to do it: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/dispute-resolution-rules-procedures.1246633/

I hope you have some evidence/info about it.

I am sharing another thing.
few month ago I search my name on telegram and see that someone make fake accounts with my same name and my same logo!
For every buyer who want to connect any seller on telegram, please ask the buyer for the telegram link, not the name as so many fake accounts you will get and maybe get scam too!

Great post @MrDenz
I will say though as a seller it IS easier to communicate via Telegram however from my experience I always tell my buyer to confirm everything between us via private message here on the wonderful BHW.

To avoid scams from BHW I do 2 things:
1. Always write all the details of the contract in private message in BlackHatWorld, confirming payment type, crypto address, job details
2. Do not send money over people who are new or doesn't have Jr. VIP. Tell them to do the job with payment after the job is done.
3. Start with smaller packages. Don't buy $500 package, start with $10, then make bigger orders. If it's not possible and point 2 is also not possible, then don't buy from this people.

Would it be possible for BHW to set up a payment gateway and mediate the payment via an escrow like upwork or other sites - and take a commission for providing a safety net (maybe 10-20%)?

Right now, as a mainstream newbie, BHW is a wonderful resource full of amazing offers and experts in multiple niches, but it feels a bit like a dark alley ( a bit intimidating until you get used to it, I guess)

I’ve been scammed thrice in 1 week ( 1 account’s banned already, 1 got a refund via PayPal, and I’ll file a report if I don’t hear back from another this week).

As new users, I think many newbies would be okay with paying a premium for some sense of security - at least until they understand how it works.

Of course, the escrow service could be an option if you’d like, instead of mandatory. Maybe that way, more people would stay here instead of taking it to other chat apps.

Can We have one more post related to the thread bumping rule that was introduced few days back?

I just got to know about it two days ago. It is such a good counter measure against bots spamming BHW.

We still have 2 more weeks left in this month. How much money is left in your bank account? :anyway:

If any such incident happens to anyone, please report it immediately to mods. Even if they can't recover the money, they'll take precautions to prevent such scams. For example, if a scammer is using a proxy account of a seller to deceive customers, the seller can warn his customers to double check telegram account before contacting him. If the scammer is the seller himself, then you can file a dispute.

This is an important post, but at the end of the day you can't teach common sense.
Not really! Just my opinion, and I do consider myself pretty rational.

But here, I’ve had one person messaging me saying “it’s not allowed to discuss payment terms on BHW and that’s why everyone moves the conversation to tele gram.”

I’ve had another saying a part payment first is the only way it works here - and I should move to Fiverr or Upwork if I want a safety net.

Another who says they can’t work without part payment because I may end up scamming them.

It’s hard to know what’s a fact when you get a lot of DMs as soon as you post a new thread for the first time.

As a first time user, albeit tech savvy, BHW does have a rather steeper learning curve.
