301 active domain - best use case?

Hello

I have a money site related to hi-tech.

I also have a few old websites from random niches and each has a few decent backlinks but very little organic traffic (maybe 100-500 per month organic). I want to 301 them to my hi-tech money site - should i 301 redirect them to the homepage? Or is it better to try and find or create a new page on my hi-tech site that related to the topic of each of the old domains that i will 301.

Yes, redirect them to relevant pages. Homepage only for all is not recommended. Homepage redirect should be reserved for "leftovers".

You can redirect multiple source pages to a single target page if relevance holds.

but lets say i have no relevant pages?
i assume a homepage redirect of an active (irrelevant) domain has got to pass some equity no?

Yes it will pass equity it but anchor text and other relevance signals will be all over the place. It will inherit all of them.

If you redirect your domain, then all the traffic from the old website will come to your hi-tech money website.

I'd recommend creating new pages on your hi-tech site that are related to the topics of the old domains and 301 redirecting them there. Redirecting everything to the homepage might not be as effective since it can dilute the link juice and relevance.

Just create new pages on your hi-tech site related to the old domains' topics, then redirect to those pages for better results.
