With all the drama regarding the last update - is it still worth it to pursue SEO as a Skill?

I started at the beginning of last with a little client work (local SEO) and got my first niche site live the other day.
Want to start the Affiliate Lab Course by Matt Diggity but I don't know if I should focus my efforts on SEO or something else.

Thoughts?

SEO is a weapon that businesses use to win their war.

The SEO dealers are weapon dealers.

All you have to succeed is to know basic SEO and have a level of cachet, a level of swagger, a level of panache, a level of je ne sais quoi, a level of savoir faire.

SEO incorporates everything from when you start designing your website, up through the content and then for backlinking. For a lot of cases a project's SEO should start before the domain is even purchased.

SEO gives some very good returns for the money / effort involved. I find SEO to be far more beneficial than direct adverts a lot of time.

Yes it is worth it. If you use your skill wisely it won't harm you in the long run.

you don't have to purchase any course to learn SEO. Just communities m groups, forums like bhw and lot of resources. Learn basics and focus on one-time tool like scrapebox, gsa ser etc. Then with the time you will learn the vocab of seo , knowledge , with the time exploits etc Its all about experience

You don't need any course to learn seo you read more blogs related to seo then you will get basic and advanced ideas

SEO is still very much an aggressive strong area. As long as consumers rely on search, it's not going anywhere. Here's an example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11ccIwCwdvUFjYjMId__4Bh9yoWTAS1Ia57oocOQEduU/edit?usp=sharing

Yes, SEO remains crucial in 2024 for online visibility, organic traffic, and staying competitive. High-quality content, user experience, and technical optimization continue to drive success in search engine rankings.

I heard small business SEO is best for spam cause large corporations can't really do spammy niches.

Also riding on someone's name could be an option. For example Rank for Binance number #2 and make people sign up from affiliate link.

Off course. SEO is an evergreen things. If you want sustainable result you must need SEO m

SEO drama? Don't sweat it! People still search online, and SEO gets you seen. It's always learning, but that's what keeps it interesting.

That Affiliate Lab Course sounds cool, but is it SEO for affiliate marketing (perfect!) or something else?

You've got a new site and clients already - awesome! Here's the plan:
  • Take the course if it teaches affiliate marketing with SEO.
  • Learn the latest SEO updates on the side.
  • Keep building your website and client experience.
SEO is valuable, and this course could be too, if it fits your goals. Just make sure it's fresh SEO!

Despite the updates, organic search traffic remains a key driver for many businesses. The updates mean you need to adapt and focus on high-quality, relevant content and a solid backlink strategy.

I think the organic traffice will goes down when AI search become the main stream. I have no idea what kind seo do we need to do get pick by the AI result.
