If only myspace hadn't tried to be so much like facebook, they would have more users.... Instead of myspace being a unique social networking platform, it's now the ugly version of facebook.

now trying to imitate facebook, yes they can achieve it they've got the budget. but will it be successful? hell no

why do you think they bought youtube for a billion, instead of just making a clone for 1/100th of that?

Myspace fell because although at the time it was a good tool to connect with people it never really evolved from its original idea, it became stale and dead while Facebook pushed the envelope evolved and changed things around. Does anyone remember how big of a controversy Facebook had on their hands when they introduce the Live Friend Feed??? Holy crap! people where freaking out about privacy concerns. But Facebook held their ground kept pushing nd prevailed.

Whats more important is the ridiculous time that people spend on Facebook. Facebook eventually wants to become the King of search, there's no doubt about it.
Google has everything to be scared about because their biggest threat is not Bing and or Yahoo its Facebook. Just ask Bill Gates why he spent $240 million for only 1.6% share of the company. (thats not a typo thats 1.6%)
