Making Money IDEAS

Thank you for saying that! How sweet! I make amazing ads.

But that post wasn't my best work....but there are not a lot of copywriters here and that's why you're impressed.

Your comment makes me want to rant.

I've noticed 3 things about BHW in the last week or so.

1: people here think WAY. TOO. SMALL. I honestly don't get it. Make $100/day posts get like 500 replies. Tell people they should be aiming to be rich? You get a handful of engagement.

2: There is a weird bubble here...some of the most prevalent online business models are just not talked about here. Go Highlevel? nope. Clickfunnels? nope... Course creation? nope. Ai Infrastures? nope (btw...clickfunnels is suing gohighlevel..i love business drama!)

3: Copywriting! Where are the copywriters? I don't mean the Ai $1/ 500 word people. i mean people who write so well they can sell ice to an Eskimo. People here would sell twice as much if they simply learned how to write properly (and interestingly) or hired a copywriter. My copywriters could blow through this place like a wildfire. I could take ANY sales thread and revamp it and probably double sales.

4: the trust factor is SO LOW... but that is because the quality is so low. Any high value offer is subject to the anti-halo effect of the crap that's sold here. you REALLY THINK you $5 article is going to do anything long term for your website? Be fr...

(yes..that was 4 things not 3)

I'm in like 5 other groups/forums and i only venture on them to make connections, get inspired and do JVs. But here...the offerings are bottom of the barrel lame. It takes the exact same amount of work to sell a $5 service as a $5000 service. I don't get putting in 40 hours a week of work to make $2,000 when you could make $10,000. Want to get paid $2000/hour....for talking??? That's possible. If you knew what some marketing consultants make for an hour... you'd pee your pants. I don't get the obsession with low cost services.

We need a new sub-forum for the big players...I know there are some here.

I keep in touch with some people who have been banned or left on their own accord (pour one out for @yakuzaemme ). Some of the things they are doing will blow your mind.
You´re welcome.

Haha, maybe. I liked it anyway.

My takeaways for 1-3 and PS: ;)

-Don´t deal with cheap clients
-Expand wifi horizon
-dont be stuck, think smart
-carefull with services

There´s a lot out there that would blow my mind, always been curious. But you´ll hear about running schemes like theirs only with good connections, I´d guess.

I´ll let you know when to invite me to the new sub-forum!

Thank you for this post. I instantly thought of a few courses I could make, and actually reminded myself of a few courses I've seen on Facebook, that are poor quality in my opinion and are selling well nonetheless. I guess the average Joe must not be a picky eater after all when it comes to things like that if shitty landing pages + vague/general promises are enough to convert (talking about the ones I've seen). Feeling inspired anyway :)

I agree with a lot of things you said in your longer reply to CyberCapitalist over there. Would love to have big-player section here, although I'm not one myself, it would be great source of knowledge.

You said you're in a few other forums, not sure if this is allowed here or not, but could you let me know what are they called? Always good to have a few to be on, for diversity and better perspective.

Was thinking the same.

I´d guess it´s not allowed and we have to dig on our own unfortunately.

So glad to see someone add value and trying to spark the motivation in people, i agree on most points, ive been a member for a while here and most people always think small ($100 a day). The key is to find something that can make $100 in an hour and scale that up(trust me its possible) i used to be a big player in the CPA game. Find a niche that can make you $100 a day manually and scale/automate that process and move on to the next project. Before you know it you have multiple income streams which creates independence

It took me a while to internalize this because I am a perfectionist, a lawyer via education and really stubborn and naturally feel that people should do the right thing: when you sell info products, you're selling a new identity to the buyer. Whether they want to take the plunge and become that person is ultimately their choice.

It used to really bother me seeing really crappy products, services and courses. But people buy them bc it resonates with them and the decision to choose low quality is based on their limited knowledge AND how that thing makes them feel. People need to feel comfortable with what they buy and if they are not sophisticated then high-level offers can scare them off.

Now, we're getting a bit into sales psychology but the above reason is why when I write sales letters or VSLs, i have to write them at a grade 5 reading level most of the time. If I'm selling a financial product...maybe a 8th grade reading level. A master seller has to straddle the fence on exciting and scaring the buyer....and since most people are at a certain level, you have to have to pander to that level.

Nope. Cannot mention other forums here.

Exactly!

If money was worth more than a couple nickels of XX century...

I don't feel like money is needed anymore. Housing and food so cheap it's not even a discussion! Think Sri Lanka. :D

It's in such an amount you can close eyes and it will come anyway.

Think crazy.

I want number 8 and suck my d*ck

Exactly!
Nowadays the CPA game has changed so I got my money out and expanded my horizons, this is also a common problem. Once people make money off of something they tend to often stick at the same niche because that is what made them money in the first place, dont be afraid to try other things, experiment, read forums, read some books, its the only way to grow. While doing CPA Ive developed the following skills:
Webdesign ( i can make anything i want)
Python (i can code and automate almost anything i want.
Marketing, a basic understanding of how people will react to certain actions.
There are countless markets that you can enter with these skills, nowadays I do custom webdesign and automate certain processes for companies, im not rich (yet) but i dont have anything to complain and im independent, with enough free time to do research for my next project

True, human nature and psychology takes over in the art of selling, agree. Good advice on taking the middle-schooler teacher approach for working with clients, I've always explained stuff to a few clients of mine with all the technicalities (I thought the more fancy words the more client will think I know my shit lol), but I guess dumbing it down makes more sense, when I think of how I'd like to be approached, when buying service or a product I want, but don't fully understand

We're basically in the same line of work...I'm just slightly ahead of you. :)

Yup! Just went through some of your posts and I recognize a lot of things, really inspiring too. Following you in hopes to learn more about entrepreneurship and my line of work. I have developed the skills for it but I agree i still need to learn a lot in order to be able to successfully manage multiple businesses

@paydette
can you recommend good sales copy writer ?

I just remember the insane worriarforum copy writers who charged an insane amount of money and delivered only average which not really improved conversation rates on the website

btw this thread is a good one

It takes the exact same amount of work to sell a $5 service as a $5000 service
Fully agree on that. The only diffrence is you need a good company structur and can't do it as individual.
Also location of company is key.
A company located in noth america has to us/ca customers way more creditability than one from india for example.

Also sadly have to agree here. The big brains i loved to work with are either banned or moved away as their accounts are silent

Can you send me some the links of the courses that you wrote about? I interested mainly in the Voice Femenization Course because I wanna know why people are buying it.
Because people are becoming too self conscious now because of all these social media. Same reason cosmetic surgeries and make-up so popular.

Why is my voice not so soft and cute like the other girls?? Do I sound like a man? Oh my god!! Why my voice so deep? I'm probably not getting a partner because of my heavy voice!!

@paydette

Thanks for your inspirational threads. I've been following you for some time now and I look forward to your content always.

I wish to ask a couple of questions. Not wishing to be spoon fed but a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.

How does one market a course without an ad budget? How does one get an audience when they're basically a nobody in the business world? I've been in this forum (and in another blackhat forum) for some time and one thing I've learned is that marketing something effectively and quickly requires an ad budget. That's where "newbies" get stuck.

Selling in Etsy or whatever ecom platform? Ads.
Fiverr and other freelance sites? Competition is drowning, you need ads.
CPA? To get eyeballs on your offer, guess what you need?
Right.

That's one of the reasons why many members here "think small" like you've often said in your posts. It becomes imprinted on one's mind that to be a bigshot, you have to have money for advertising campaigns. Which they don't have. Also, $100 a day threads are popular because so many members here (if not most) are from developing countries and to get 3 figures a day lifts you into a middle class earner. I'm in a developing country myself so I know. I value my skills however and don't want to sell them for peanuts all my life, lol.

Apart from platforms like Udemy where competition is fierce, do you have any other unexplored avenues of marketing one's skills? And possibly to a wide audience outside of one's country?

This will be fast and furious but here we go... Here are just 2 ways to do it.

1: you can run ads PROFITABLY. The standard ads fueled courses use what is called an ascension model. Offer a low cost product.. then ascend their purchases. Generally at 10-30% uptake on the front-end, your ad cost is covered. Everything else is profit.

Low ticket front-end
Upsells
Downsells
High ticket

2: really don't want to do ads? Borrow other people's audience.

Use affiliates (Andrew tate)
Podcasts (rev share)
Make content on the shoulders of other big names (think Get Tony Robbins results without the high ticket cost)
Partner with someone who already has an audience and use them as the one delivering the course (my second favorite option)

Both options take skills though...the first one, you need to get your whole funnel and campaign done correctly. The second...you have to be freaking engaging and know how to sell the value prop, especially when what you're selling doesn't have a measurable benefit (think dating or getting over divorce offers vs "get this system to get 100 leads a week" - one is esoteric. The other measurable)

3: really really don't want to do much work? Give away 70% of the course for free. Grow your own audience begging for the remaining 30%. Build in some hidden economics... think GHL affiliates. They give away the course if you sign up under their affiliate link.... then they give you everything you need to succeed. They build once and "sell" hundreds of times...and get monthly income for as long as their affiliates are successfully up and running. And they can keep selling them bc now trapped in their system.
