I got a couple questions for people that actually run movie recap channels and not just have theoretical knowledge on the subject.

1) How long you've been running the channel?
2) Do you do recaps of hollywood movies? (Disney, Warner Bros, etc.)
3) Have you ever got striked by these companies and were you able to overturn the decission?

I'm not trying to have a conversation about how saturated or not the niche is. What I'm interested is the longevity of recap channels. Is it possible to run a successful movie recap channel uploading recaps of movies made by big studios (Disney, Warner Bros, etc.) without constatly getting striked and eventually getting your channel taken down.

This market is saturated my friend, better to take another niche...

The fact that it's saturated doesn't mean he can't dive in and pick a seat.
He can but the entry ticket to break through is expensive, it's a slump in profitability, the goal is to make money...

That was not the question. Copyright strikes and logevity of the channel was.

The video has 22 million views and it's been up for 5 years. The channel has 135 videos and 133 million views total. This is straight up copyright infringement and there's 0 chance that channel this big could slip unnoticed. How do they do it? I've heard cases of Warner Bros. striking videos that use just a few second clip of their movies.

Yes as the other person says, its better to make another niche, it will be helpfull and effective way for you or your channel

There Are Many More Niches, Try Them. You Find Better Results For Sure.

To be honest, I think that niche is pretty saturated; without being defeatist. That does not mean you could not achieve satisfying results but that would be harder than back in the days when that niche was still under the surface.

Plus, as you mentioned, strikes and copyrights are the main problems here as you cannot really escape them... so I doubt that is still a profitable niche.

You'd better pick another niche, in my book.

I Tried This Before But I Got Striked From The Owner, Try To make Own Creative Contents.

As long as there are a lot of channels that are surviving for years I think if u be creative u can go away with random copyrights but not strikes. But if u do only video comp8lation of these movies and tv show strikes will cime

I just wonder why what makes them choose movies?, they are recapping 5,5-6,5 star movies, when they have not touched titles as Gladiator (2000) , The Dark Knight etc etc,

Your creativity will determine how far you can go without being struck.

Yeah, I have deep dived into third person narration(how to perceive and rewrite what i see in the movies), and made my first video. I am on my second right now. had some problems with my first one 2 scenes were 7 and 8 sec so i did freeze frame, or added another scene and then i could publish :).

Some channels use movies to do music videos and monteize it , idk how they do that
