Since there are no qualifications to being a life coach, sure, why not?!

Seriously, instead of getting a life coach, think about the problem you want to solve, and think of an appropriate professional- psychologist, psychiatrist, gynecologist, business consultant ect. There are few people who are experts in "life". Then, go to an appropriate place to find that person. An IM forum is not the right place. Would you get an insurance salesman to do open-heart surgery?

Coaching skills are indeed very valuable in parenting as well as marketing. And if you want to learn NLP commination skills as well, you can try searching for NLP Coach courses.

I don't understand NLP man, it's just like they try to force what naturally happens through repetition. For example they do NLP for self-confidence but if you are fairly skilled you will be self-confident you won't need to trick yourself into it. Basically what the NLP confidence is, is basically arrogance. NLP is very selfish

I know what you mean. I guess it depends on the trainer or the school.

There's a guy called James Tripp on YouTube. He's the most sincere guy you can find about anything related to NLP or hypnosis. Try watching an introductory video about NLP from him.

Yeah, I was into NLP years ago. I just couldn't fit it in my life because it made me look insincere and I was getting backlash. But that may be due to my overly negative environment, maybe for others it works well.

I have the same experience. When you "perform" NLP in your daily life, you don't feel like your authentic self. That's not the purpose of NLP, but it is how some people use it or even teach it.

Have you taken a look at the 11 presuppositions of NLP? Those can actually be quite helpful. Instead of techniques that might or might not work for you, the 11 presuppositions are more about how to understand yourself and the world around as an ever changing environment in which we live our lives.

I bought a fake guru book once and it praised this nlp as key to success. Meanwhile the writer stole all money via hyip operations.
