Billionaire arrested for crypto tax evasion

When banks starts using crypto, it will be much easier to catch scams.

crypto is not as anonymous as people think
No, at least here in the US, the various cryptocurrency exchanges are required to collect your information and report transactions to tax authorities. If you pay to certain flagged wallets, like those found on dark net markets to add crypto to your market account, the exchanges will actually know in some cases and ban your exchange account with them.

It's not all doom and gloom, though; you can transfer a more privacy-oriented coin like Monero from your exchange account to your own wallet and pay that way to get around the exchanges monitoring your transactions (or so I heard :anyway:).

That's why a friend of a friend always uses always Kraken for his transactions - now it makes sense
He told me that he can always generate a new Address—the same as on several DM markets. But there might also be some stupid Markets that use static Addresses.

Nvm - it is not my Business. I am a fan of PayPal transactions because they are safe - and I feel more secure because they store many Cookies to protect my money. Just in case.

Kind regards

That is why one should always pay the taxes on time and in full.

When he comes out , he should first fire his CA and hire someone more qualified to remain safe in future.
