If own four different blogs on tennis with one being the main one and I write completely unique articles on all 4 of them as a post on say practice routines for seniors. If I link 3 of the articles to the article on the main site with keyword variations along with a link to random other authorities on the subject with another link on each of the 3.

Considering each site is on its own hosting, domain; IPs etc and each has unique content (not spun or AI generated) would it then be beneficial to do the same thing again when I create another post on all of them about a different topic like backhand techniques? Trying to see if anyone has tested this and found that linking to similar subject specific content through multiple posts even though the main domain has already been linked from the domain once in a previous post vs just giving one link from the home page.

back-Linking from diverse blogs with unique content to the main site can boost authority, but varied back-linking strategies may enhance SEO performance. Testing different approaches for each topic across blogs can optimize rankings and traffic.

The link juice you get from a particular site stops increasing after about two links. If you link 10 times from site A to site B, you shouldn't expect link juice to be passed 10 times. While it could be beneficial to the site and users in providing more context, you should expect an improvement in ranking or authority going forward. This is at least my experience.

And by the way, linking from a blog to another blog cannot be regarded as internal linking. Internal links are links created within a website/domain and pointing to another page on the same website/domain.

The thought was because each post would be topic specific/keyword specific and with each blog being niche specific, the linking of multiple posts from multiple blogs may get the main sites post to rank for the keywords better in each individual post target than just a home page link to the over all site.

I understand the internal linking on individual blogs, I was saying “internal” because I owned them all even though they’re all on different hosting platforms etc. Almost like a PBN but the difference being each site is constantly updated with unique content, they just all happen to be in the same niche and posts on the same subject.

This isn't a bad practice but you need to have diversity in your backlink profile. That's what google usually demands to make sure your website has authority from all over the internet and not from single circle of sites.

You can do that and this is like a PBN. Don't overdo that. If Google finds anything suspicious, it will punish all your websites for sure.

As already stated in the threat, I wouldn't overdo it. 1 or 2 links from one site to another are good and should be safe, but having 20, 50, or 100 links from one of the sites to another of the sites could be a warning signal to Google. This is something that doesn't happen organically, so it makes your sites suspicious in Google's eyes.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out if anyone’s actually tested it. Since each post would be attempting to rank for a specific keyword, if each blog had unique human written content on it, why would it get punished for the same site to be linked from relevant content to relevant content? Obviously you link to other things as well, other sites in the niche, even other peoples videos and not only to that one site so it looks normal.

If you have 100 posts all on different topics centered around the same niche, the chances of the posts ranking for specific keywords per post would be better if it had links pointing to each post with similar keywords would it not than just one time from some other post on totally different keywords. No different than an article directory or web2.0 property having multiple pages created around different words pointing to similar content since you’ve already got a link to the site from something previous. Seems similar to affiliates creating whole websites around keywords and linking to the same site with variations trying to rank for them and all pointing to the site they’d get commissions on all while boosting the site they’re linking to’s authority.

I’m trying to see if anyone has actually tested it or not

Google wants links that come organically, because someone found your content valuable and linked to it. If you link to it by yourself, you are not playing fair in Google's eyes. Don't get me wrong; in my opinion, it makes total sense to interlink between the sites as you reference the reader to content he might also be interested in.

I guess this is a leftover from the original PageRank algorithm, where the relevance of a page was estimated by the number of links to it (and the number of links to the pages that link to that page, and the number of outgoing links these pages have, etc.). Of course, this approach was very easy to get around by just generating masses of links to a site by yourself.

About your question if anybody has tested it: I don't know of anybody, but I don't think it would work; otherwise, everybody would do that. I think you would put yourself in danger of getting a manual penalty for unnatural link building.

I may just have to actually test it if nobody has. I understand the risks of it in theory however it would also make it extremely simple to hurt a competitor by doing this as well and I’m assuming Google would also realize that. Considering Google is all about user experience and good content, I would think if you didn’t use AI content or garbage respun articles there really shouldn’t be away for them to penalize you considering a competitor could come along and do the exact same thing simply to have the opposite effect of getting your site blacklisted or index. I would think because so few people actually take the time to create unique content that the risk may not be as great as everybody thinks it is because they’re always using content that is easily recognizable just being generated for links.

I've done that for several websites & some of them got 150% boost in traffic,
I've done it for other bunch of websites & they got penalized,

The difference that the first set was actual money sites with good authority, traffic, aged, etc...
The others was a bunch of ultra spam ones with trash content solely made for testing stuff,

In both, all the websites were hosted in the same VPS, under the same registrars, whois info, etc...
So, i would say it work the best for geniune money sites, basically as long as they got good authority

Thanks, that’s kind of what I would expect. If you’re providing true value on all sites, why would they care where you link to as long as the relevant content isn’t just a bunch of spun articles pointing to a money site. Plus the fact that it would be so easy to railroad a competitor like this and they’ve got to take that into effect too id think. Most won’t take the time to actually create legit content across all sites so I can see how AI content or spun articles would get you a penalty if caught. But true value sites along with linking to other niche related content that’s not yours, affiliate links to training aids, major authority tv sites etc, I can’t see why they’d penalize you for it. Just didn’t know if anyone actually tested it or not.

If you test it, I (and I guess many others here) would be very interested to hear about your results. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works as you hope.

Yes I do that all the time. my saas and product sites are different from each other but I keep writing about each other. The trick I use is to mention them in context of the current article or as an introduction to the other tool. infocaptor talks about mockuptiger, mockuptiger talks about crawlspider and vice versa.

The only thing you should pay attention to is the variety of anchor texts and the frequency of links to avoid any penalties that may arise from being too manipulative. Add a few internal links in each blog post and occasionally link to other authoritative sources other than your main site.
