The startup I work for uses Meta business for posting on Facebook and Instagram.

We post videos in 1080*1080 format, where there isn't an option to add thumbnails, so, after I post content I have to manually open the Instagram app add edit the thumbnail.

But even in that case, the thumbnails don't quite look right. I have tried the 'Add from Camera roll' option too.

Do you use any custom size for the thumbnail and add it from camera roll, or use any tool that makes it easier?? There are quite many pieces of content that have this issue and I have to fix it in the coming days.. please share any advice

I post on IG regularly and the the thumbnail has to be the same size as the video format.

If it isn't then you will get an upload error and it'll tell you the exact size it has to be.

I normally use Canva to edit the size. You can also use Photoshop or any basic photo editor,
you can even find some free ones by doing a Google search.

One more thing if it doesn't look right. In Canva you can create a blank graphic in the appropriate
size and import a photo or another graphic. You can resize that photo and play around with it to
make it look better.

Change the ratio of thumbnail to reel size & you’ll be good
