How much can I sell this website for?

I have this high backlink juice website , with a lot of content that I am looking to sell. Keywords are quite lost and the traffic has fallen because the owner unpublished many articles and put them in draft (they are in hundreds and available on google drive and will be shared with buyer when I flip it).

The Niche is Travel + Tourism + Expatriation industry, and has high value backlinks from Wikipedia, Forbs, and official government websites. The link juice is very much worth it.
This website was once an Authority in its niche and had a whole media house running for it, doing local campaigns , monthly magazines etc..


Wondering what kind of Price I can get for it.

Was the website penalized? If yes, unpublishing won't change its fate. And selling it could easily lead to headaches later if not disclosed.

Not sure of penalisation. But it was a huge website with a lot of pages and posts on it. The owner unpublished them and traffic dropped. But the backlink juice is still there.

Check out and see if it's penalized. That's important, otherwise the owner wouldn't have unpublished the posts.

I am not looking to sell here, just want to know how much I can sell it for and where to sell. No, I am not the owner , I just know the owner

Check out and see if it's penalized. That's important, otherwise the owner wouldn't have unpublished the posts.

The owner unpublished the posts citing they were outdated but they just needed small content changes, he just got busy with other stuff and decided to let this website slide.

are you with godaddy? if so, they'll give you an estimate. it will sound awesome but won't sell it for that money or at all.... but then i never had that much traffic

The estimate will be based on current earnings and potential growth of the site. As far as I know, people usually buy for the 3 years earnings of the site. So, calculate the average monthly earnings and multiply it with 36. The price could be lower if the site had any problems like google penalty, copyright takedowns, disputes, etc. The price could be higher if the site had multiple opportunities to increase the revenue. It's difficult for random people on a forum to decide its worth.

A penalized site will probably sell for a very low multiple, and investors are already wary about buying sites because of all the updates. It's impossible to say though without a thorough evaluation of the site as there are a lot of factors that come into play. I've seen some great sites struggling to find a buyer recently though and sites that would've got 40x a year or two ago are now only getting 25x.

sites with the downward traffic and ranking trend are hard to sell but this one has other things going for it. as you said and as far as I can tell from the ss you shared the backlink profile looks natural and strong. if you were to sell it for its value in backlinks only I'd say you can possibly get a few thousand $ if you find the right buyer

what about the backlink juice, can it not be sold for that?

For pricing:
Is it a .com?
What is the TF and in which areas?
What is the spam score?
Any google penalties?
Is it ranked on google for any keywords?

"Link juice" is directly linked to TF not DA.

What is TF? There might be google penalties but I have no idea about that, yes it is ranked for a lot of #1 keywords. It has links from wikipedia, .edu, forbes etc..
