Ranking on lucrative Keywords is not a piece of cake for new websites.

SERPs of such Keywords often get dominated by authority websites. Because:
  • They have big budgets for content.
  • A ton of authoritative links pointing to them.
  • Have thousands of pages created on their website.

So how can you rank on such Keywords?

Try to become a topical authority in your niche!
  1. Add your competitor's website in Ahrefs and go into the top pages report.
  2. Filter top pages with your seed Keyword in URL and get content ideas from there.
  3. Analyze the sitemap of your competitors and search for your main topic there.
  4. Export all those pages into a google sheet and get content ideas from there to cover on your website.
  5. Answer people also ask questions (PAA) in your already published content or create a separate post.
  6. Leverage answer the public tool to gain questions related to your main topic. Try to answer them thoroughly at your website.
  7. Leverage Wikipedia pages content structure and internal linking anchor.
  8. Mention relevant entities in your content or create separate posts around specific entities mentioned there.
  9. In-depth topical coverage and building relevant and authority backlinks can help your content rank higher on lucrative Keyword.

I think you nailed it on the head.

If you're a new site, you shouldn't focus on lucrative keywords.

By lucrative, I take that to mean keywords that have a high monthly search volume and a high cost per click.

If you're just starting out and you don't have solid backlinks from established media giants pointing to your site, you probably would be better off ranking for less lucrative keywords.

The secret to this is to niche down.

You start with a lucrative keyword and then you look for less competitive keywords.

You can use tools like Ahrefs or Semrush to find these.

Once you start to rank for those, then move your way up the food chain by targeting more and more competitive keywords.

Believe me, this is definitely better than doing it the other way around.

All this work for 20/50 clicks a month... No, thank you!

I rather pay Google for ads.

Please make a video of a new website that teaches you step by step how to rank for keywords and post it on Youtube.
