I wanted to know if this kind of link

https://images.google.ch/url?q=https://example.com/
https://maps.google.pt/url?q=https://example.com/
can make any difference in terms of ranking.

I see sites that have TONS of these redirect urls, not only from Google, but from any kind of sites with high DA.
Is this a thing?

Thanks.

Having lots of links that redirect from top sites like Google might help a little with ranking, but it's not as important as having awesome content and getting real people to link to your site

It have some impact on your site's rankings, its best to focus on acquiring high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative websites in your niche.

Don't waste your time on those redirects.
They are really useless... unless you want to sell guest posts to noobs.

While links from redirect URLs like those you mentioned can contribute to your site's backlink profile, their impact on ranking is typically minor. It's more important to focus on acquiring high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative websites for better SEO results.

Quantity over quality is more important. Having these redirect links won't have any use for your website

As everyone said I don't think these sites have direct effect in ranking just focus on the quality of the backlinks and try to get links from high authority sites it might help you.

It's a thing to manipulate shit metrics like DA, so scammers can sell shit links to noobs on Fiverr. That's all it does.
I second this - literally all they are used for. People were doing this years ago with maps., images., etc with all domains from .co.uk, to .com generating 10,000 then pushing them through GSA, RankerX spam.
