HACKED WEBSITE - CHINESE LINKS?

Hello. Short story.
My website (you can see the journey here) was doing extremely well. As you can see in the photo below, my organic traffic exploded.


On 14 april, my organic impressions dropped to almost nothing, considering it had a huge boost.
Also, in the same period of time I saw that my website has A LOT of not indexed links.

The number of "not indexed" links skyrocketed from 200 to around 1.1k in 24 hours.

All those links are Chinese and all of them have "noindex" tag.



Is there any way to fix this mess? How did this happened? I'm NOT using nulled scripts except the ones I've downloaded from Festingers Vault.
The links don't bring me anywhere but I think they have something to do with the huge drop in impressions.

Help please?

NOTE: Just found out they're not actually links, it's some sort of SEO Spam attack. All the links have "?s", meaning they're generated by the search bar. How to fix the mess they've generated?

I disabled the search bar already. This doesn't help since my SERPS are totally destroyed.
My website went from 50 keywords on 1 POSITION IN SERPS to around 10 keywords.
This shit chinese shit on my rankings.

It might not be related. I see no reason why this would affect you in the slightest.

The whole point is that those links are noindex, wp-script generates loads of links already, as long as the indexed links aren't falling there's no issue.

Perhaps because of your niche, your links are simply being deindex due to dmca? Check Lumen database if you've got pending links. Or your keywords just tanked because that happens in this business.

it will help, cuz the links created from search bar wont exist and thus when google crawls them it will remove them from the serp if they are not found

Yeap, it is a negative SEO attack.

Just set your search results to noindex. Find that setting in your SEO plugin or Theme settings. Although you said you already set it to noindex, but Google is still crawling it... Seems like some configuration error.

Once you've done so and ensured that your 'search results pages' are set to noindex, log in to your GSC and click that "Validate Fix". Give it a couple of weeks and Google should re-crawl and notify that it is fixed.


Also, Google core update is still rolling out. You may have benefited from it in early April before Google took it away. I wouldn't say it's a penalty though...

If you're using rankmath, you can set search results to be noindex and also remove the "search term" from the title of the page and URL. Replace the %search_query% with something like "Search" so every search anyone makes is as shown below

The link itself is the favicon of the website but why the spam links redirects to this?

Honestly I have no idea how did they manage to achieve this... How'd they get google to even pick up on these searches if every search were picked up, you'd have millions of pages...

Not sure where this would be on AIOSEO, but browse through the settings and find the ones related to search, make sure it's set to noindex. However, there is still no way to change the URL as this is simply how wp-script search works.

You really shouldn't be too worried about this or even disable search due to this. As long as GSC recognizes that these pages are market by "noindex", they won't affect your search results at all. Frankly negative SEO attacks are really not very impactful.

If your site is fresh and has a small crawl budget, this might affect it, but other than that, your rankings probably got overtaken by someone else. Looking at faply, it's brand new and even in this niche your competition might steal your rankings.

I used AIOSEO before, is kinda " weird " somehow will have conflicts for my site later I remove it.

I've done some research and it seems to be a wp-script wide problem. Not sure how to fix it and from personal experience these chinese links aren't damaging my serps.
