Iam doing web development and seoWhat kind of freelancing are you doing? Also find people in your niches and check out their website/fiver page and see what looks good. Take a little from each post.
Watch the rules, you're not meant to direct people off of fiverr, or you'll get easy banned if found out. Put your site in your profile about me page, and let people discover you naturally.Iam doing web development and seo
I had 2 clients on fiverr who gave me both a 5* I haven't optimized any freelance websites yet, although I could and link them back to my website (if allowed by the rules)
Ye that's what I meant with that, I will need to be careful with it, the same counts for upwork as far as I knowWatch the rules, you're not meant to direct people off of fiverr, or you'll get easy banned if found out. What would you recommend instead of freelancing? With my sillset (web developer, (wordpress but also html, css, js, sql, php) seo)I would advise you to take a second thought about starting freelancing, but if you do proceed with it and create a landing page, make sure it has personality.
Anyone viewing your landing page should get a good grasp of what you are like as a person.
Don't fall for the same generic cookie-cutter-ish crap landing pages/sites that 99% of freelancers have.
Don't say you're the best or that you offer the best quality, best anything. That's just corny and doesn't bring any credibility to you whatsoever.
Don't expect people to trust a single word that comes out of your mouth.
Get credibility by showcasing reviews made by your actual clients. Also include at least a few case studies.
Good luck!
Starting an actual business. What would you recommend instead of freelancing? With my sillset (web developer, (wordpress but also html, css, js, sql, php) seo)
Isn't freelancing a business? (Iam not planning in selling a business anyways, atleast not now)Starting an actual business.
A business that gains value from making revenue/having a track record.
A business that makes $10k a month (profit) could often be sold for $300k+.
If you start a business and you get to $10k/month after 12 months of operating and you stay on that same level of profits for the next 12 months, and then proceed to sell the business for $300k, you have made $420k + the earnings of year 1.
Do the same with freelancing and you have only made $120k + the earnings of the first year.
You can't really sell yourself. Well, you can, but that is a whole another kind of 'freelancing'.
Business is a legal entity of its own.Isn't freelancing a business? (Iam not planning in selling a business anyways, atleast not now)
I haven't thought like that, you are right, but I will do freelancing first because I will need the capital first anyways.Business is a legal entity of its own.
Most freelancers just operate under their own name and don't have a separate legal 'entity'/company under them.
I'd advise you to start a business instead.
You can do most of the same stuff as you would as a freelancer, but you just operate a bit differently from a legal standpoint and also get the privilege of your business having its own monetary value.
