What is your sleep schedule?

I like a morning stroll with the dog - so 10pm/11pm bed and up at 5am......out of the front door at 5.15am for a 1hr 30min walk

Which country you in? I noticed western side folks tend to sleep early around this time during evening and wake up in early hours party their journey to workplace is far. In Asia literally you can't even can sleep around evening time. Most if can able to sleep early is roughly 9pm or 10pm. Most go to bed around 11pm , 12am or even 1am.
Germany.

My longest usual ride to work during my previous life as an employee was 1.5 hours, 130 kms to commute. I could use this time for the first phone and conference calls of the day. Traffic jams were no issue thanks to Blackberry. Actually, even this time of the day was highly productive since most of my teams were in Delhi and Cairo (+1h). When I started my career, distance to work was some 30 kms. Not funny on a 50cc motorscooter during winter and working shifts.

School over here starts around 7.30 - 7.45 am, this has a much bigger impact on sleep routine for young parents.

My wife is Asian. She used to get up very early in the morning, too. Now, she enjoys the hours alone in the bedroom and me brewing the coffee before I leave house.

Establishing a consistent sleep schedule has improved my mornings; now waking up early feels natural and energizing.

I usually sleep 4 or 6 hours every day trying to do as much as I can in the morning and at night, I always feel like I never have enought time to do anything so 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM I'm starting my day every day.

this couldn't be further from the truth. try going to sleep at 6AM and waking up at 2PM and then compare it to a normal 10PM-6AM sleep schedule. If you get in a few hours between 10PM and 2AM it is a huge boost to your immune system. Lots of hormones at play here. Do a quick search for sleep studies if you want to know more.
Sleep 8 hours a day vs sleep 4 - 8 hours a day randomly. Hours are more important than schedule.

I just slept 3 extra hours as a nap. Apparently I've been missing on some hours.

For immunity just don't drink alcohol and don't smoke cigarettes. Most people can't even do that. Let alone keep full 8 hours.

Half the society has some form of insomnia. To me it seems.

Sleeping from
Is as realistic as being able to plan your whole day perfectly.

Most people's day / schedule isn't in their control.

You might have some super business that requires 2 hours a day of work a day, but that's not gonna work neither for me nor 99% of people on this planet.

And it's that you shouldn't be awake for more than 16 hours. If you exceed 24+ hours, you might start to feel like complete crackhead.

Worst is to extend your awakeness, don't keep sleep schedule, not sleep full 8 hours. If you do all three at the same time, you've got a "full no-sleep party stack". Something ravers and music festival enthusiasts suffer from.

Do a quick search for sleep studies if you want to know more.
I'm not reading any studies as they don't really reflect my life and I don't really know what variables in those studies were.

Plus many studies have inconclusive research. I'm not gonna lie, studies are useful for scientific research, not something as simple as knowing whether I should feel good doing x or y.

Maybe someone feel better if their bias is confirmed by some studies. I rather seek gratification in other, more meaningful ways.

So why people make studies on humans? Because they need it for further research, to satisfy their curiosity or just for money. Someone might need this research to develop a technology, a drug or medication. Meanwhile people think it's to confirm their bias.

Why would anyone spend so much time and money just to conclude something that varies from person to person? Complete nonsense. Some averages might help them. But for me comparing myself to average person / statistics? All I need to do this is go to Reddit. I'm bonkers after 5 minutes of browsing that site.

Imagine going to a doctor and instead of looking at you, they'd say "read some studies". This is Reddit level thinking.

my sleep schedule is non-existent, I have to work on getting at least 8 hours every night :(

I've always been bad with sleep schedules, but lately, I've been going to sleep around 4AM and waking up at 8-9AM.

What's important is that you get the right amount of sleep that feels right.

from when I am tired to when I wake up usually, no fixed times. sounds better than it is actually.

Go to bed around 11pm. I need to use a audiobook playing and set the sleepmodus timer timer to 45minutes to fall a sleep.

Wake up 4-5am and start with my morning routine. (Miracle morning)

I have ordered a book named super sleeping from the author Floris Wouterson. Someone recommended it to me but it still have to read it.

Anybody have read this book?
