Testing websites to make sure they display properly on Apple's phones, etc.. is a pain in the neck when you don't have any of their stupid crap!

We don't need or use Apple products for many reasons. Plus I absolutely LOATHE the idea of buying a damn phone which will only be used to "look at a site" then go back in a drawer.

Does anyone have a work around on this ?

Well, you surely can find iOS emulator with various devices. It probably cost some bucks, but that is an option.

That's the problem. I haven't been able to find an emulator
 
in chrome and firefox you can switch in the development mode and test your site with all mobile phones (iPhone, Samsung…), tablets, notebooks…

Except that does not work

All that does is change the user agent which fails to produce the desired result.
Firefox and Chrome still use their internal rendering to display the webpage.
