Should I stick to Ezine?

Focus your own work on Ezine and then submit to all the other directories once they have approved the work. They have a strict policy on copied material and you can easily get banned if you submit something that has already been published at another article directory.

Always use the resource box to put your links and they will be no follow if you put them in the body. Ezine is a PR 6 and you will get nice movement in the SERP's if you write articles with good keyword density.

The best part about Ezine is that they have a huge mailing list that you article goes out to. It is not uncommon for a good article to get even 400 views in one single day and about 20% or so will click through to your webpage.

When you initially write ezine articles, you can pretty much expect a few nice sales but then it will dry up as the same people visit your website and then leave quickly.

Thanks man, great tips. But I want to tell you than I have several articles where I put my link in the body and I verified and it is d0f0ll0w.

I would say, check again. Links in the article body at EZA are nofollow. View the source of your article page.

Why are you writing articles?

I hope it's to use the power of article sites to rank and drive traffic to your money site. This is how they should be used.

Don't use article sites just to get a backlink. The effort vs reward is way out of proportion.

This is good advice, I wasted time writing around 20 articles for ezine for backlinks only. Now, dont get me wrong, some of these articles are ranking well in google for their keywords and im getting nice traffic for them, whereas some of the others are nowhere to be found. So the important thing to remember here is that if your going to write articles for ezine try and target a keyword that you can rank for, find longtails keywords related to your main keyword and write the articles based around that. That way you get your backlink but also you rank your article and get extra traffic to your main site.

To add to that, when you have a good article that is optimized for a specific key phrase (title + content + anchor text) that ranks well, it pull your site up in ranking for that search term. Another advantage is that it is always easier to promote good article, since you are not under the threat of being considered as a spammer (in social media, forums...).

I'll add my .02 - I've been doing a ton of article marketing with Automatic Article Submitter for the past few months. It takes a while to set this guy up, but it can uploaded to over 200 article directories. You still have to take the time to select categories and certain sites require that you manually baby the upload.

I've been doing some DEEP spinning on my articles. I manually spin sentences and words. EVERYTHING that I upload to ezine gets gobbled right up, so my content is high quality. So after 4 months of hammering hundreds of articles to over 200 article directories, how many actually appeared on Yahoo site explorer? (Yahoo records and shows everything, right?) Surprisingly not very many show up, even with Yahoo. Here's what I found:

1articleworld.com
a1articles.com
amazines.com
archivedarticles.com
articlealley.com
articleblast.com
articleco.com
articlemotron.com
articlesbase.com
articlesnatch.com
articlesphere.com
articlewisdom.com
bharatbhasha.com
bigfreearticles.com
buzzle.com
exba.net
ezine articles
freearticlepublishing.com
freebie-articles.com
goarticles.com
ideamarketers.com
justarticles.net
profoundarticles.com
qwesz.com
searchevolution.com
submittedarticle.com
talkinmince.com
tss-articles.com
webmasterinfoandcontent.com
womensarticles.com
zingarticles.com

These are the ONLY article directories that even appear in my Yahoo site explorer. The ones in bold were listed by Google in my webmaster back links, so I can prove that Google indexes and likes those sites and is giving me link juice.

Take what you will from all this. My submit list is now WAY shorter.

Yep, a lot of people rave about article marketing being a great backlinking strategy but the fact of the matter is a lot of them do not even get indexed. I did a article submission service to over 400 directories and was left with 4 backlinks!. Granted, I was in the male enhancement field and I was pretty skeptical about the results but they were really bad.

Most of the article directories that these services submit to have very poor page rank or even 0 page rank. A lot of them are even invalid sites the next time you go visit to submit another article.

I guess the article strategy is good if you are able to get your articles noticed by Google with some indexing methods. Otherwise, it can be a very long time before they get indexed, or even get indexed at all.

I'll add my .02

Great share, if all your .02 are that valuable, feel free to post them everytime !

So far I didn't do that much article submission, mainly because I don't write articles in english and some article directories just want english articles to be posted (GoArticles seems to accept other language as well, I need to find more).

I will look at your list to see which directories support my language.

Regarding the rest of the discussion, i would NOT post everything on the same article directory : imagine what would happen if one day they decide to put the ressource box nofOllow, then you're in deep sh*t (it's been the case of a well known article directory in the past years but I can't remember its name).

I would also make a copy on my harddrive of every single article submitted. Just in case one day the article directory dissapear from the web (so you can at least reupload all of them somewhere else).

Automatic Article Submitter automatically spins the articles. (once you've formatted them with brackets and pipes) I certainly don't worry about losing an article, I can just pump them out like eggs from the mother creature like in the movie Aliens.

Oh yea, so can anyone add to my list of Google approved article sites? (they appear in your Googles webmaster tools link section.)

ezine is to me the best one and I have had my greatest success with, but i found go articles and isnare do yield profits
hoipe this helps

great info here, when done properly, this type of link building will not appear spammy

The last three days I have worked a lot submitting articles to article directories, all articles being spinned with TheBestSpinner. I submitted manually 120 articles to 10 article diectories. All 12 articles that I have submitted to Ezine (from different accounts) were approved in 1-2 says. Other directories haven't approved not even one. So my question is: should I submit only to ezine, or should i spread the articles to as many directories as I can?
Ezine will be worthy,, but still you can try with different sites

GoArticle is always a good place to submit articles. However, there are some less well known article sites (specialty/niche) that will accept articles.
