market samurai?

I got market samurai after hearing RAVE reviews, but to be honest, I haven't got any information out of it that I couldn't already get - I have a rank tracker for free from SEO book, the keyword tool data is taken from the google keyword tool, and the backlinks shown can be found using yahoo site explorer, yes, it is more convenience to have everything in one place, but considering the RAVE REVIEWS I've read for it, and the amount of time people have mentioned it in http://www.warriorforum.com/internet-marketing-product-reviews-ratings/99198-best-product-youve-purchased.html , I haven't seen the value, am I missing something?

@moneymaker1
if i think about it, (hardcore market samurai user since a few weeks) you are right. Maybe the success of market samurai is just the convenience to use all the tools in one place to track ranking/to do Keyword research. Because most of the stuff was already possible without MS, but not this easy.

Hi Mark

Which parts would you say are not as easy?

well, it is easy.. but it is not easy to maintain the tasks every day, or at least it would take more time then having everything sorted in one prog. :)

No question - the data Market Samurai is tapping into is all publicly available

Which parts would you say are not as easy?

SEO Competition module (analyzing and comparing top 10 rankings for keywords), backlink PR analysis / spying, backlink anchor text analysis / spying, SEOC scores, OCI, Adwords Cost Per Clicks, Adwords Click Through Rates, keyword filtering, bulk ranking analysis, documenting rankings, documenting PageRank of pages / sites, documenting backlink counts of pages / sites, documenting indexed pages...

It's all "simple" to do manually, but nowhere near as fast.

.

You are too humble.
I am in the Internet marketing for years and MS is the best tool ever seen.
Your use of public APIs is the best in the industry.

Well I have a trial copy atm. Sadly when I first began I paid a mentor thousands to teach me seo/keyword etc etc and he did a terrible job....so bad that dispite my best efforts for months on end I'm not confident at it and prefer other ways of making $$. MS should help...and that way I won't waste anymore time putting up content for crappy target phrases again.

Yes, I use the download section but not so much to rip people off, more to sort out the wheat from the chaff. So much easier to do when you have access to all those products....I figure they can always make money through their affiliate links and upsells to pricey coaching courses.

MS is clearly something that works (well not for me yet - when I have at least the amount I paid for the software in my account it works) so I'm more than happy to pay for it especially since I can see support availiable.

Anyway.....back to the customisation.....I noticed right away that it doesn't store my criteria. Hope this changes  because I'm lazy lol.

@ BrentH - Domain Samurai - I didn't like it and found it discouraged me from even trying MS(!) Maybe I used it wrong but I found it missed a couple of url's.

I've been using MS for years. It's nice when an SEO program you buy actually sticks around and doesn't become broken or outdated.

Brent,

Are you guys planning on keeping MS going for years to come? It seems like alot of the software developers find something new to work on and let go of their prior projects, going through that right now; not going to throw a name but it has happened.

I want to buy MS, but my fear is if you guys stop updating it can go bad in no time. So, what are the plans for MS in the future?

Thanks,

X

I dont see this tool not being updated anytime soon, I would like to be able to see more than the top 10 results at least top 20 or customizable and to be able to track my competition thats on the first page with a click rather than have to input urls and keywords.

The developer should not worry too much for the software being cracked, coz serious marketers will buy it sooner or later if they find useful....

It's a tool I could not live without. Used a cracked version for a while but imo was worth every cent when I finally made the purchase.

So much better than worrying about finding the next cracked version

I'd be interested in investigating this to find out more. (i.e. what it missed, and why they were missed)

Want to send me a PM with details?

I don't see Market Samurai going away any time soon.

We're certainly developing new software - but none of it supersedes Market Samurai.
