Which theme is best for news site ? (Advice

Im undecided 2 wordpress theme in below , If you were which one would you use

the 1st one looks cleaner and better organized which is something that I like. But this doesn't mean much...

You will want to choose the best optimized and converting theme, this is the main priority of any business site...

i made a local news site for an amateur journalist few years ago. fun little project for those who have the spirit of journalism.
i like theme #1 [retail] too. in terms of ux and positioning of advertisements, i feel it's superior.

+1 I like the 2nd option, and it is more user-friendly.
However, I would never chose jNews as it's really bloated.
