I already control some subreddits in various niches, but don't want to put all of my eggs in one basket.

What i'm doing now is pretty white hat, but I am going more grey/black very soon, so obviously I don't want to mix all of my subreddits under a single account.

Do I need a dedicated IP address to run and moderate a subreddit? Is a residential VPN with its own IP good enough, or does VPN look suspicious to reddit?

For this method, I will not be caught doing blackhat things outright, but if the mods take a close look at me then I might get rumbled, which is why I want to separate everything.

Thanks

Use Dolphin and get some proxies, you get 10 free profiles there. You can separate all of your reddit accounts safe with dolphin + proxies.

yes you will need a private proxy, residential or 4g is recommended. also have 2 accounts as moderator so if one account gets banned you still have a second account that is in control.

Don't use VPN or low quality proxies, reddit actively monitors that and view it as suspicious.

Do not risk with datacenter proxies as they are usually blacklisted.

Use quality residential or 4g/5g proxies always and you will be mostly safe.

Why antidetect browser will look susp
You think that it prevent website from detecting what you doing
No it's just like you own another computer on every new browser

Antidetect can be useful if you know how to set it up correctly, if not its better without then.

I mod in a subreddit that has over 1 million subs and I can tell you Reddit admins take reports very seriously so be careful, if someone reports you they will take down the subreddit, what are you trying to do exactly? I understand how Reddit works from a-z

what I meant by this if you are trying to sell extreme stuff like drugs / weapons etc.., if you are promoting normal stuff then that's okay
