Hey Guys Hope ur fine,
I am using Google Search ads as a traffic source (Just start using google ads), i face a problem with impression share, its too low like -10-20%, some campaigns is < 10%, which make the ctr low , also low cvr about 0.5- 1% MAX, i tried do the best bid but still got the same problem, it changed a bit but not like other competitors, impression share, also tried do the best ad and make all ads excellent, Hope u guys give me any advice to improve my ad rank, Also if anyone knows how to choose the right bid to make the impression share better.
Thanks in advance.

Try to make as many ads as you can and try other campaigns as well like Max Performance. It is better if you at least make few variations of your ads.

I think you confuse a few things.
1. Your impression share is how many impression you got out of what Google had to offer for your targeting (how many searches could have triggered your ads if you had infinite budget and the maximum bid). It's affected by your CTR (and CvR if you're using the maximize conversion or maximize conversion value bid strategies) but does not affect them.
2. Which bid strategy did you start with and what are you using now?
3. What's the match type of your keywords? If you're using 'broad' it can explain both your low CTR, your low CvR, and in a way, your low impression share.
4. On its own, high impression share shouldn't be a goal of your campaign because your budget and bid affect it. You should use it variants to troubleshoot growth opportunities (bid vs budget), but rarely in other cases.
5. Are you ads appealing? Did you fill all (or most) of the fields?
6. What would you consider a conversion, lead, purchase?
7. Did you set up ad extensions? Which did you use?

Thanks for ur reply,
1: My campaigns goal is sales, but i focus on Maximize clicks, i tried a campaign before to left it without putting a bid for cllick and it got very high cpc
2: I am using 3 of them "broad match and exact match and phrase match"
3: Yeah all my ads are filled its always like good or excellent
6: Purchase
7: Yeah there is as extensions, sitelinks, callouts, also, also an promotions/offer appear below ads for like -20% ...

Please what do u suggest me use for bid strategy?
Do you think i should only use exact match keywords?
Thanks.

If you have some conversion data, you might want to try maximize conversions (with a target CPA).
You can try it as an experiment, but either way Maximize Clicks with broad keywords is a recipe for disaster because Google can go as wide as they want and you don't reward them for any desirable event.

Try improving your Quality Score, tightening your targeting, and gradually raising bids to boost impression share.

To improve your impression share and CTR, increase your budget, optimize Quality Score, refine keyword targeting, and consider using automated bidding strategies like Target CPA.

Boost your Quality Score by refining keywords, improving ad copy, and optimizing your landing page, then try raising your bids a bit to increase impression share.

Increase bids and budget, improve ad relevance, and optimize landing pages.

Raise your budget, improve Quality Score, and go aggressive with bids!

Hi @hunterx09. Well in my opinion low impression share happens due to low ad rank, often from low quality score or high competition. You can improve it by matching ads to keywords, using exact match, and making landing pages fast and clear. I will also suggest you to use tighter ad groups and target impression share bidding. You can also boost CVR with strong CTAs.
I have also seen https://superfuel.io/blog/how-to-improve-ctr-and-cvr-on-amazon-or-tips-for-2024 where author talk about helpful tips on improving CTR and CVR, you can check out this detailed guide.
Don’t forget to add negative keywords to avoid irrelevant clicks and use Auction Insights to see how your ads perform against competitors.
Thanks

Raise your budget. That's it.

Judging by your description, you've already done everything else. But no matter how high quality you have not made ads your budget will not allow you to get more impressions. Because there is competition and it raises cpc, and you get few clicks because of it.

I had low impression share too in the beginning, better keyword targeting and raising quality score made a big difference for me.

Low impression share mostly comes from low ad rank—focus on improving quality score, use exact match keywords, and increase bids slightly to compete better.

Your issue with low impression share often comes down to Ad Rank, which isn't just about your bid. Google factors in bid, ad quality, and the context of the search. To improve:

Focus on Ad Quality. Even if "excellent," constantly refine ad copy for stronger relevance, improve landing page speed/experience, and ensure keyword-ad-landing page alignment, and ensure your budget isn't severely limiting impressions. For bids, test Target Impression Share or Target Outranking Share strategies if available, starting with a realistic target to see if it moves the needle.
Sometimes, a slightly higher bid combined with excellent ad quality can drastically improve your standing

Low impression share usually means your bids or budget might be too low or your ads aren’t super relevant yet. Try improving your ad copy and landing page, then slowly raise bids or budget. Don’t just jump bids high-focus on quality first and you’ll see it climb.
