301 Redirect - backlink from wikipedia - count as active real power backlink ?

I found some domains in my niche, that have backlinks from Wikipedia .. ( at the same time found some sellers sell Wikipedia links for more than $70),,
suppose I registered the droped domain with a current active backlink from wikipedia and redirect the specific link to related section or blog post in my money site. Does it count as an active real backlink from Wikipedia ? because in this case, the domain will cost $10 only

Check past domain history to ensure the domains haven't been abused and/or gotten any penalties, and with dropped domains I would also say it's hard to know if the value of the link will transfer - 301s are very iffy from my tests especially when the domain has already dropped for a long while, it's best to buy a domain before it has dropped such as at auction (costly).

Google tries to devalue links when a domain drops assuming they believe it has changed purposes: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-expired-repurposed-domains-seo-flotsam-34550.html

301s can be good when used tactically but they are for sure hard to master, but it's always worth a shot. Also don't trust 3rd party metrics, they will pick up the link of course... but that doesn't mean google will value it.
