Using a static residential proxy with an antidetect browser. When i go on websites they sometimes think I'm in a different country to the country of the proxy.

They don't fully think Im in another country, commonly it wil just be the ads Im seeing on the website that are foreign.

e.g. I have a UK proxy, I visit Youtube, Youtube recognises I am in UK, but ads are Dutch and some video recommendations are Dutch.

Anyone know why this happens?

Your IP could be leaking from somewhere, or previous location data could be stored in cookies or other browser storage. Some residential proxies funnel traffic from multiple countries through the same IPs - so the IP shows as UK but previous traffic on it could have been from Netherlands.

Youtube's ad tech could also just be much better at probing your connection than your antidetect browser is at hiding it.

Might want to check your proxy or your connection environment such as the configuration of your anti-detect browser because something is leaking somewhere and finding where that happens could be tricky. Check Pixelscan too, might be able to give a basic diagnosis of your connection.

Thanks, I am actually in the UK so I don't think it's leaking my actual location. Its not every browser profile/proxy that does this, just on the occasional one sites will show me stuff in Dutch, Arab, Russian or some random language.

Trying to pinpoint wether its my Adspower browser profile or IProyal proxy which is causing this.

Thanks Pixelscan is pretty insightful, I was previously using scamalytics but pixelscan looks more in depth.

Couldnt find anything regarding this issue though

As you're in the UK it sounds like the leak is perhaps some misconfiguration with either your proxy or browser.

Might be worth checking out the tools on browserleaks.com via the problematic browsers / proxies and see if you can find anything flagged there.

Same, but yeah, Pixelscan at least helps you locate where an issue might crop up from.

Didn't really help, huh? If it's all green from there, considering using a different device or change up your anti-detect browser if you can. Dolphin* is a good one if you're not using it already.
