Company is looking at making some budget cuts.

We currently pay monthly for Ahrefs program and would like to cut out that monthly cost.

I found Screpy and they have a one time payment membership my question is how does it stack up?

I don't think anything can compare to Ahrefs to be honest (maybe Semrush, but Semrush is pretty big too, Screpy is not).

Also, I just remembered that I took on their AppSumo deal a few years ago, but I rarely got to use Screpy, I just logged in and saw that I had several projects added there that I don't even own anymore (I either sold them, or the domains have expired... I can't remember what my plans have been with these sites for the life of me...)

All I remember is that I needed a site audit (to check my sites for errors), and back then Screpy was the best option (for price) for me.

Anyway, I just logged in (thanks for reminding me that I have this by the way :D) and I can see a lot of stuff to mess around with, including site audit, keyword tracker, and a site breakdown in general, by content, images, links, etc... pretty interesting stuff, and for $15 / month for their biggest plan I think it's worth the money if you're average user...

But like I said, it can't compare to Ahrefs since that's what you wanted to know, Ahrefs and Semrush are in their own league :)

Yeah I understand we will be losing some nice tools but Screpy seems to be the best price option to go for right now during our industries current hard times.

I would suggest going for ahrefs groupbuy, yes, you won't have full access and there would be some limits but it can do the job.

GroupBuy works for when you're a single webmaster looking to run a quick backlink or keyword report. While here @IWannaTaco seems to be employed at a company that probably owns several sites and uses ahrefs to keep a track of their own rankings, backlinks and competitors so not a viable option

Check out SerpBear (it's completely free) via Pikapods deployment. Thank me later

I've have Screpy too but moved to SerpBear as its open source and links to Google search console.
will look into it and check it out thank you.

yeah, they have compelling price, but it's more of a site auditing and monitoring tool, don't think you can do keyword research or competitor analysis with it, which are big parts of SEO...

Yeah trust me, those who hire me don't understand a lick of SEO and they think everything is free in regards to it.

My original budget was like 1k a month per site, now it is dwindling down to roughly 150 per site.

For this kind of money I'd tell them "I'll do what I can, but don't expect any results". I'd probably get fired after saying this, but it is what it is :)
