Let me explain, sir, so the rules changed back in 2018 to cleanup the site a bit since there were a lot of creators like me who were abusing the system originally by monetizing content that we didn't own, or copyright content. From 2012-2017, YT was the wild wild west where you had a number of creators able to make extremely good money off of copyright content. It was also easy to make new channels over and over again to monetize right out of the gave after you signed up. Now, as you might know you need 1,000 subs and 4,000 hours of watch time to get into the YouTube Partner Program to monetize your content. They also will not monetize any reused content, so basically the stuff that I was making money off of in that era. Whenever I got in trouble with copyright strikes and stuff originally, it didn't really hurt except the growth of that channel, but I always knew that I could make a new channel and account right away and start monetizing right away. Overtime, I got better and better learning companies who didn't strike down creators, so I kept some channels up longer than others. They changed the rules during the spring of 2018, and that's when my money dried up as all of my channels over the course of about 3 months were all demonetized, and I had to scramble, so I lost my ability to live off that type of content forever on the platform.
Nope, sports betting didn't work at all as I made money here and there, but I always lost it back to the sportsbooks. It's impossible to really have success in that industry because the house always win and gets their money back the more you bet. You need a lot of money to really earn decently from it and have good risk management where you're not losing the money you just made so quickly. If I had a decent amount of money, I could make it work better as I got better overtime. I still do bet, but I do it for fun, not to earn a living. It's basically side money like YouTube.
Yeah, when it comes to AI influencers that is true, especially when it comes to driving traffic is the hard part, and that's where I'm honestly stuck at because I'm not a good marketer. If you're a good marketer you won't have a hard time with that part, and I think it takes knowing where to promote your content as well. Chatters is where the money is, but it's not really required, there's a lot of creators that do well without chatting. Personally, I think chatting unless you're getting the right type of help is a detriment to your business. I've heard from a lot of creators, not just AI influencers, but real girls who struggle with their business when they rely solely on chatting. You have to put in a lot of hours to chat with your customers, and if you miss a day, or anytime it can hurt your business. It can really take time away from content creation and marketing, or whatever else you need for your business, and I've also heard that it's risky letting VAs takeover your chat because most of them disrespect your customers and can do some shady stuff to your business, so it's not all what it's propped up to be. You don't want to rely on it as the real automation with this industry is just getting subs, or money from PPV content. If I had more money, I could scale up my simp channels on YouTube by rehiring the models that I worked with in the past to help make me content. I made $33 bucks this month off of my most recent video, it's got 20.5k views and $33 in ad-revenue made this month. You can make good money by having a decent YouTube channel as well.
Like anything in life especially with businesses, you have to be all in and have a passion for it, and not just do it for the money. That's how I was so success with YouTube all of these years because I have a passion to create content and edit videos together. I would do this for free if I had the time as I love making my AI model come to life, and generating pictures is fun for me. I talk to a lot of creators on social media who are in this industry, and a lot of them don't even do it for the money.
It doesn't matter what business you get into it's going to take up time if you really want to make a living off of it. There's no shortcuts, so whether you see it as worth it to you, or not is fully up to you. I don't have a plan B, C, D, or F, so I'm sticking with this because I know the money is pretty good for it especially the more my model grows.
