Currently we are taking these steps to edit the content of articles after Google's update:

Step 1: Search key to check current top Google articles. Set the results region on Google Search to United States to get more accurate top results.
Step 2: Read the top articles and compare with the original article to see if there are any ideas in your article that are missing, inaccurate or incomplete.
Step 3: Outline the points that need to be audited, conduct the audit, and write based on personal experience.
Step 4: Finally, proofread the article and check it again with Grammarly to correct errors in expression, spelling throughout the article and correct unnatural key insertions.
Steps 3 and 4 are the most extreme, sometimes you have to refer to the top 20 because after updating, many articles often lose their rankings. Then redefine the correct customer intent to write more effective intros and headings. The intent part can refer to Bard, asking if the reader searches for this key, what they want to know. From those intents, it will help deploy ideas in headings and FAQs more optimally.

The steps are as simple as that. I don't know if there are any more steps needed to optimize them further. Please give me your suggestions. Thank you all so much

Your plan for fixing the articles is good, but also listen to what people say, check what others are doing, and keep up with the latest trends to make your content even better.

you have to be ahead, you need to keep up on SEO trends and updates. You can optimize further by analyzing user engagement exploring keyword variations, and including authoritative external links.

To analyzing the top-ranking articles, conduct a comprehensive analysis of your competitors' content strategies.
Track the performance of your optimized content using analytics tools like Google Analytics. Keep Updated the Trends in SEO

This is a good strategy but you should use own ideas in the article also so as to make it unique. If the blog is filled with just inspired content, viewers might not find it useful.
