of course it is possible ? it is the same upload button but your video needs to be in the right ratio (9:16) and less than 60 sec.

Short videos are good to get subscribers, but also I recommend you to create long form videos as they are much more profitables. Good luck

I think you said that the main reason for making shorts at first is to get subscribers with the goal that they'll later watch your videos. Does this seem to be working out for you? As mentioned earlier, shorts viewers generally might be an audience with a shorter attention span/ different preferences.

well, I'm not getting crazy numbers like shorts but I found a little trick that will give the long form a little boost if done right.

Update : Sorry for not updating for a while, since last video I didn't post on the channel at all, I get distracted very easily and this one of the reasons I m not a millionaire yet, here is what distracted me :
- I was scrolling on YouTube and I noticed a monetized channel with some good daily views and some viral videos, the channel was created like 3 months ago, the videos were super simple and when I saw that I got an aha moment, I can actually create a software that will generate similar videos on autopilot 24/7. I was able to finish 90% of the tool. I m planning to start a Dummy/Test second channel in which I'll post these videos and see if I get any success with it.
- 9-5 again hit me hard, when the company is stuck and they think there is something impossible to solve or to be done in time, my fkn brain can't stop thinking how to solve that problem and be the hero, I ended up working extra hours just to showoff.
- When I started this channel I posted a gig on fiverr and used simply edited video to see if I can get any clients (in the last week I got 10 orders )

I m doing my best to keep uploading and sticking to the plan, I will post a new Long video this week end.

if you are using someone else's content don't , if it is your content make sure the first 2-3 seconds are attention-grabbing + promise some kind of reveal at the end of the video this will boots your retention also never click bait in shorts if you promise something either in the title or in the first seconds keep that promise or over deliver

it is not about the tool mate , it can be as simple as capcut + AI images / stock videos, how you do it is the important part

Quick Update :
The video that I posted on the weekend shows an exponential view curve this morning that went from 30 views (in like 3 days) to 1000 views so far in less than a day( noon, right now).
This might boost my watch time a bit if it continues like this, wish me luck guys.
