When I write a new post I get in the comments section of wordpress these pingbacks or whatever they are where other blogs have linked to me right under their articles. I've already gotten the link from them, should I press approve and give them a link back?

I don't get the concept of this function, and should I do the same? I haven't even looked into it but I'm guessing I can use this wordpress function to find relative blog posts and link to them, and then maybe get a link back?

I don't know, can someone please tell me what they know about this.
Thank you :)

I don't know what exactly you're talking about, but is kinda sounds like a reciprocal link, and those are pointless.

Some nice reading on the subject

I don't see why he shouldn't...I mean recip links may not help much is at all with his google ranking...but it would certainly help with his site looking more balanced....If I was google it would look fishy and unnatural if all the links I saw were one way wouldn't it?

lol wikipedia seems to do alright...

joking aside, maybe you have a point though... i guess i do go ahead and grab some no-follow backlinks in addition to do.follo.w so that it "looks" more natural...

If I were you,

I'd look first the websites that are linking to my sites. If the sites are high quality, of course I'd approve them. If they come from spammers? No, but no thanks.

yeah, was thinking the same thing. is the site carrying similar content or ??
hi quality content or just junk??
