What would you do if your work condition sucks?

Like your boss will suddenly stop communicating with you and just order me around.
Your colleague is a friend of your boss so he does the same thing. I am no longer a person to their eyes. Just a tool, that's how I feel at the moment.
I feel like shit everyday and yet I can't just quit the job at the moment because I really need the money they provide.
I am in the SEO field only because I am working in my current company, and I am the only person they rely on when it comes to English.
I really don't understand. I feel like just quitting the job right now but only holding on to it because of money.
Sorry if this kind of vent is not allowed, but I'm just curious as to what you guys would think.

If you can do something else or find another place to work you need to do that.

Some bosses do not understand that a good worker is as important as the product the company is providing. People will pay extra for a good service.

Yeah I really let my situation take over me. I feel so stupid letting them bully me. I guess if I turn to my family and relatives I can have some time off until I get a new job. I am fluent in 3 languages and understands basics of SEO, with basic coding knowledge.

You have the knife on the handle side ( It's an Italian proverb, I don't know if it sounds the same in English )!
Simply take them aside, make them understand that your position is fundamental and that without you they would end up badly, and that you will never accept being treated the way you are now again.
While you do this, keep a straight position, look him in the eyes and pay close attention to your gestures. No hands in pockets, crossed or anything similar. Body language is important! Try to establish your authority.

I think I understand what you mean, it is I who has the power, not them. I think that they think I can be manipulated because of my financial situation. I best not let that happen. Thank you so much. If they accept that I am important, great. If not, I just walk away from this work and never look back again. Right?

Had the same +- situation, quitted the job, changed the field of activity completely and feel like it was the best decision, but I had financial opportunity to do such thing. Would probably look for something better while working there.

When money take over a person's sanity(your BOSS in this case) it's quite hard to do anything as a worker. 80% of the hard-working class just endures it. Sad, no?

Of course, if your situation allows it -- look for something else while you ARE working there. Then you can quit with a job backing you.

The other option I guess is you shouldn't give a freak as well and don't see them as people either. Just purely work related and call it a day.

Idk, it all depends on how your personality is like, what kind of expectations you have, etc.

I would try to pinpoint particular problems and let my supervisor or the HR department know about them if my working conditions weren't up to grade. If the issues don't go away, I might look into alternative employment options or think about consulting a career counselor for advice on where to go. At the end of the day, it matters to put my health and job fulfillment first.

Yes, something similar happened to me when I was an employee, many years ago now.
My answer was always that I could get a job in 5 minutes if I wanted and that I didn't need him, but that he needed me since I was a really great employee (always on time, always respectful, hard working).
I also started to point out to him that other jobs were asking for me and that I was refusing, but that I would stop doing it if he didn't show respect.
Never let yourself be subjugated or make people believe you are in a bad situation and in need, this makes them feel powerful towards you.

Thank you for all the replies... I honestly think I can get a new job (a shitty ones at least) very quickly but if I want a quality job it could take some time like at least two months.
But then again the job I am in right now is shitty so I think I should just move on if they decide they are not gonna change their behavior.

I just quit my work, couldn't have done it without support. Only happy I vested a pension and whatnot. There are a lot of shitty people and shitty employers out there. I've worked for people who didn't pay me for 6 months, lousy grocery store jobs and worse. I think its better to do business for yourself, when you are ready (if its for you).

Right now, the company (more like a team) consists of only 6 people so HR department isn't even there I'm afraid.
It's either I sort this problem out with this person (and my employer) or I quit the job.
I don't think there is some kind of option in between the two, because this person that I am having trouble with is a friend of my employer.

Yikes... 6 months!? I can't live without my wage even for a month. I think I really should consider doing something of my own, in the future at least.

If I was in your shoes, unless the money is THAT much better than any alternative position, I would personally look for another stable job

Learn to also tune out and just treat work as work. There are stupid bosses everywhere, like literally fucking stupid people everywhere.
A new job wont necessary means you avoid being treated like a tool

Make sure that while you look for another job, you pass some responsibility up the food chain! I mean something like
"Boss, I got this report to you within 2 hours, as you ordered me to, see this very pissed of customer, I gave them your phone number to ensure I could finish the report on time, so just to let you know you probably get a nasty call this afternoon. Is there any other reports you need done next? "
