What should I pay my staff?

The most important part is. 1 WHERE THEY FROM. 2 How many hours/week they work.

Or do you pay just becouse they uploads to some music site.. man .. come on.

Agreed, are they from Pakistan, India, Flip, Europe, US? The country can mean the difference between $1.50 to $10

lol sorry guys. they're from the united states, and they're friends of mine. we've worked together on many grass-roots marketing projects, and they're very loyal. this job will start off as 10hrs per week, per person.

Start off with 8.50 an hour, and see how well they are doing after 6-8 weeks, then maybe increase to 9 an hour, but it all depends on how much YOU are making.

If you were making $50,000 from their work, then you can afford to pay them $11-13 an hour to make sure that they always get the job done.

good shit. i was thinking between $8 and $10 an hr., but wanted a 2nd opinion before i met up with them. never hired for this sort of thing before and wasn't sure if i was over-paying, since they're working from home. thanks guys!

Just an FYI be careful how you set employees up with taxes etc. You're getting into a realm with US employees where you have to pay SSI etc. Out of the country who gives a fuck. But don't mess with the IRS.

i'm paying cash for now. for this type of site though, i have to stick with people who know the music, and are influential in the scene/community. i can't get that kind of thing in most countries.

i'm using a surveillance service that will allow me to monitor their progress via webcam, and screen shots - so i won't have to worry about them slacking on the job. that's all i care about. eventually these individuals will wear other hats, but for now i just need to put some cash in their pocket so they don't go elsewhere.

The point is, you wouldn't have to look over their shoulder.
At the end of the week you check their stats and pay out for the amount of songs they uploaded.
Saves you spying on them.

This. You never want to put yourself (but more importantly your employees) into a situatino where you have to spy on them. Has plenty of adverse effects on morale. Instead, do some math and figure out how much each upload should pay out, then just look at their stats...

You should really listen to these guys.... starting out a company where you micromanage people like that is going down the wrong path. To me (an impartial third party) it appears that you don't trust the people you hire. If you don't trust the people you hire, you shouldn't hire them.
