Hey all,

I am absolutely stumped when thinking about this question, since either I think of saturated business models or simply playing it safe and investing my money. However, today I ask you to give some unique ideas for what to do with $50-100k USD to make more. Preferably starting some kind of business in a niche industry or anything else that you can think of that won't just die in a year or two (however, I'd recommend to shoot those ideas anyways). Shoot anything unique. Start an ecom store? Invest it? Start a drug rehab center? Go into HVAC and make a business? Anything! Especially niche! You've been asked this plenty of times, and under normal circumstances I wouldn't ask this question since the answer is always "well, monetize your skills and invest in yourself" and "don't ask us, we can't give you a solid answer" (which are valid), however, I believe that someone has a very unique idea that would be interesting and achievable. My general skills are programming, design, sales, marketing, and a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head. Really anything with technology I'm good with (obviously since I already made 50-100k). I hope that you all can assist in giving some cool ideas, and not only inspire me but each other!

Thanks!

(side note: YES, I am still working, doing what I did to make the 50-100k in the first place, so please don't tell me to just keep doing that)

Passive - Tech Stocks, a basket of them. Active - Build an application overtop an AI API. Something that does something with AI

I would take some of the money, pick a crew of a few people, pick up 10 different niches, and start creating websites for each niche.

It's safe, it doesn't cost too much and you can easily how things will go after 6 months up to a year.

Gold, crypto, banks, and other things are... Pff.

Long-term investments only, period!

Have you considered buying houses/apartments/studios, making some improvements on them, and selling them for a higher price?

Or would you prefer staying in the tech saas related stuff.

Hookers - coke and the rest I'll just spend on trivial stuff :)

If I had that money I would go looking for barn finds.
Some guys son got about $400,000 from cars stuffed in a shed no bigger than a living room (uk)

Have you considered to invest some money in crypto? And I mean some legit and serious coins like BTC, ETH, Matic... Next bullrun is coming... it will be easy 2x 3x

You could invest in a coin laundromat or car washing business. They're basically automated and should be doable with that kind of money.

Buy some land.
Build a greenhouse setup.
Grow weed = > get rich.

Seen that before, although I heard there's a lot of risk when doing that and so much regulation around it that unless you're super passionate about marijuana, it's not even worth trying.

Noone here will give you the best advice. Everyone is biased based on what they saw working / what they like. Think for yourself, is your job stable and can bring you income until pension? Do you like your job? Can you use your skills to create another income stream? It's about asking yourself questions.

There are lots of things you can do, but ultimately it depends on the level of risk v reward you are prepared to undertake and you have not outlined that.

But generally speaking the higher the risk you are prepared to take in losing your money the higher the $ reward you are likely to make.

I do angel investing and look to 10x my money in 3 years. But i have skills that enable me to lower the risk attached to that. Similarly you have not outlined if you have any skills that could be transferred.

Without knowing your appetite for risk or skillset nobody can really help you, they would just be guessing.

There are different recommendations above.

I recommend you to get more than one job by making an investment bundle.

Additionally, keeping 20% of your cash in reserve will be useful in case of any mishaps.

Good luck!

I got asked the same question a couple of days ago. I don't feel competent enough to give advice, but here's what I would do with $100k:

1. Put two $20K down payments on investment properties and rent them out.
2. Put $10k in crypto, as it has a high risk:reward ratio, plus it's a good time to get in before (or during) the bull run.
3. Put the remaining $40k in stocks - tech, ai, lithium, pharma, etc.
4. Keep $10k for rainy days.

My overall focus is on passive income with balanced risk. However, I am yet to save $100k, so this is just a personal plan for myself rather than competent advice. In any case, good luck!
