Has anyone recovered from this?

So, I've started 2 new websites on expired domains.
Each with about 15 new articles.
Same niche with old ones, but new content.
No point in recreating old content since now every previous keyword has high difficulty.
Both had various keywords appearing in SERPs after indexing.
Both have lost 100% of keywords after ~ 1 month.
Both have Analytics and GSC.
No new backlinks built.

I do realize it's too soon to tell, but it sure looks like a common pattern. I'm just asking if anyone has experienced exactly this scenario and/or if you've recovered from it.

you might not rank if you have 404 pages, I think you should recreate the old pages (and then 301 them to something relevant) to fix this 404 issue

Is this a lot of old pages 301'd to index? That's not great practice nowadays and a bad sign to Google. Even if you choose not to recreate the old pages (you should at least have some content on old pages that have a decent amount of backlinks IMO), 301 them to other pages that share some relevancy instead of the index. 301ing everything to root is basically telling Google "I'm trying to use the power of this expired domain for SEO purposes"

When it comes to new website on expired domain its common what you are facing this might be due other factors if the content on your new site is not high quality their may be drop in the ranking
Make sure you have a quality content on your new site that gives value to the users and have high quality backlinks

Take a moment to check if the page is optimized effectively.

Keep in mind that Google utilizes AI, so making changes can sometimes cause a drop in search engine ranking positions (SERPs).

High rankings may be due to a 'bonus for a new start,' which could naturally decline over time.

It's happening all the time until you get to the part when Google notices that you have at least a few visitors a day and starts to sort everything out slowly.

At this moment, focus on optimizing content, better to have 1 article of 3.000 words each week with 5 - 10 images and proper optimization done than 100s of garbage that won't move the needle.

This actually doesn't seem to be the problem. From my 2 websites, one does have a bunch of 404 redirected to homepage, but the other does not. Yet, both lost all kw's in about a month after indexed.

That's the issue, I'm asking if anyone has experienced this exact same scenario because it never happened to me. Usually new websites would start to index and rank on various SERPs, but these 2 act a little strange after just 1 month. I'm not sure if it's worth to keep pushing these two domains I've started...

Everything is fine mate, this is normal, 1000s of people daily are going through the same thing.

Don't worry about it, and don't lose your focus on it, as I said work on new content, optimize it better, look for a better KW, with less KD.

It's just another normal day with Google.

This happened with one of my websites.
Revamped almost half of the current articles and structure, but no result yet.

I’ve tried more exotic things, like adding a schema and implemented a Topical Map structure in a low measure, but still nothing.

I’ve asked around to get more advice on this, and everyone said it’s a waiting game as it would be like this most probably until the next content update.
