Hello everybody,

i had contact with this person and he told me that he could rank my keyword for 250 usd, payment after ranking. So i did it and after i paid within a handful of days the ranking progress was gone and we were back at zero. In good faith i paid him another 1000 usd on a monthly basis to do better work and keep rankings high. i paid with paypal but he never could realise it and said his trick was not working anymore.

i requested a refund and he agreed and said he needed a week or so because it was spent on an experiment. In this time i started to work with another freelancer. After the week the deadline was crossed and he did not refund and then he gave another deadline of another week and also the refund was still not done. He then proposed a refund of 100 usd to which i responded, this is unacceptable.

i then started a claim on paypal to get my money back.
He then started to blame me for being inconsiderate by starting a paypal claim and was upset, then asking me to double the payment to start work again.

Now he has done something to penalize my site and is trying to extort me. I would prefer this issue resolved peacefully. This person is trying to scam people in this way and its utterly unacceptable. I have not started to investigate his personal details and will try first to get this resolved here.

I don't understand the point of the Dispute Thread because:

1. It's true that I didn't deliver his work as it should be. I accept that and promised to refund him (I chose the refund option.). I failed on that aspect too because I didn't have money which I explained to him. He gave me two weeks to do that but it wasn't enough, and he didn't agree to an installmental repayment.

Now, he did a PayPal refund which would leave the account on a negative balance because it's unchallenged. That settles the refund aspect.



2. It's also true that he hired someone else two weeks ago. However, accusing me of penalizing his site is crazy because if I am capable of such negative SEO, I would have tanked his competitors websites, his rankings would improve and I would get even more jobs from him. But I don't know how to do negative SEO if I wanted to and that's why his competitors are doing well still. So, this is a mere conjecture.



3. I told him that I would help him because I have been experimenting, and discovered different twists. However, that's not very possible anymore because I thought he could still allow us to work together. I didn't think it was that deep.

Hello,

The money has not been refunded yet, Paypal has put a temporary block on sellers account. Seller still needs to respond on the claim and refund. Please make sure seller is aware that any harm done to customers website is unacceptable, my website seems to be indexed again now but i will keep an eye on this.

I don’t want to get involved but when there is a case open on PayPal they temporarily hold the funds. Once the case is sorted they take the hold off the money. So it appears to be gone from the account but it’s just in paypals.

How are you going to refund this then?

If I remember correctly, PP will decide in the favor of the one that creates the dispute if the other party does not respond after 30 or 45 days or so.

That's the timeline I think, not sure. I will work and when I get the money, I will send to her.

Respond to the dispute in PP and tell them that the one that raised the dispute is in the right. Let's get this closed out.

I cannot hold this open while you find other work to refund them and you cannot sell via the forum with an active dispute as you probably know.

since started the claim
seller got upset and did something to de-index me from google
i started this thread here, he responded and day after i got indexed in google again but lost alot of keywords/traffic
he said he will take action

This is what comes out when I click on Paypal's "respond" button. They're only only asking me to prove that I have refunded and no option to actually respond to it.
