Foreign language anchor texts - are they worth it?

I have a brand new website but the main keyword is kind of weak, so I'm trying to enhance it.
So I'm using various backlinks with main keyword as an anchor text, but some websites doesn't accept English keywords.
I've heard that google would automatically translate anchor texts and use them to empower your keywords even when the anchor text is in foreign language.
For example, let's say you are using keyword "dog" as a main keyword.
If you use anchor text "perro", which is Spanish word for dog, would it help your main keyword "dog" get more power or it wouldn't affect a thing?
I mean, it kinda makes sense because google has its own translation service...

So far, it's been a week since I got this guest post with foreign anchor text, but it didn't really help my keyword as of right now.
Would it have any positive results?

they're worth getting for the link juice (assuming that the page has authority, of course), but I don't think they'll impact your rankings in any way (positively or negatively).

I mean, if 50% of your anchor texts are foreign but your content (and the entire site, generally speaking) is in English it might look suspicious and there's a chance that google will penalize you for link building. But if you have 2-3 foreign anchor texts out of 500 backlinks, for example, this means nothing and you're probably safe.

you're probably targeting keywords that require more authority (usually given by backlinks). Or maybe the link is nofollow, or the page where this link comes from might not be indexed. Any of these could be the reason for which you're not ranking.

It will be just another link to your site but won't have an impact on the keyword itself.

Trying foreign words as anchor text may not give a big boost to your main keyword. I would suggest you to stick with quality links that really relate to your content for better results.

Language doesn't matter. If the keyword you use in the anchor text reaches the targeted audience then you will get traffic.
