My first feedback,

Today I tested the Keyword Domain Search function. I inputted 7 keywords but dont know why servya counted 5 and first keyword went as a name. I think Jim can say why this happened.

For my counted 5 keywords servya give me 4109 domains, it was very fast so I was very excited but after seeing the list I am disappointed, because there was so many duplicate domains, so many domains with hyphens (even some domains have 3 hyphens).

So I think Jim can update here.

1. Must omit duplicate domains from result.
2. Maybe add filter options for hyphens and numbers.
3. Maybe add Domain length option. (I see some domains like this therunofthecountrycharitymotorbiketour.com)

Thanks Jim for giving me a chance, I will test other functions and write my thoughts.

I will be adding more testers later today so if you haven't heard from me yet you should do today. If you would like to give this a test run we will be adding more users again starting later today so post here if you want in.

What have I been up to this week?​

The first lot of feedback I received was as mixed as I was expecting, it was great for pointing out a couple of issues with the current system and I have been hard at work improving things behind the scenes. This is why no new testers have been brought on board this week.

Below is a list of the changes made to Servya this week:

• Email credits use dropped from 50 to 5
• Credits from oldest subscription are used first as they are most likely to expire if not used
• .txt download option won't output duplicates
• Improved checking of inputs to refuse obviously incorrect inputs (waste less credits)
• Duplicate checking on inputs (waste less credits)
• New jobs are now refused when no valid inputs
• Credits systems merged so all tools pull from the same pool
• Delete Job bug fixed
• Email checker bug fixed
• Output code improved
• Changes to Homepage
• Removed "Check Quota Usage" page, it will come back with better functionality
• Fixed Logo issue
• Accidental job resubmission on page refresh no longer possible

There was actually more than this but a lot of smaller changes were just done as I went and I forgot to write them down. Most of the additional items were background stuff that shouldn't affect users.

What is being worked on next?​

One of the bits of feedback was that there is no easy results viewer on the website, only for users to output the results and view in their own solution. I had actually been thinking about this very topic in the days after posting this thread so it wasn't a big surprise that this was one of the first things brought up.

We will be adding a results viewer capable of handling the data you collect and allow you to output the data in different formats.

Another big thing will be adding options to the different tools. As pointed out in feedback, it would be great if users had a way of setting some options for certain jobs to get better information out of the tool. For example, as suggested, when using the Keyword Domain Search it would be ideal if you could place limits on certain aspects of the results, such as length or domain or TLD, before starting the job.

The tool options will be entirely... optional. They won't show by default but will be just a click away if they are required. I want to keep everything as easy to use while still offering more options and features.

Changes to the Email Verification Tool. The tool currently returns a simple valid/invalid result for emails but, as pointed out in feedback, this isn't really up to the level of competitors. As a new service we need to be at least comparable on price and functionality and that is the plan going forward for all tools.

The Bulk Email Verify tool is likely doing a lot more checks than you would imagine, that is our fault for not explaining what is being done, we will improve upon this.

We will soon be increasing the granularity of results to explain why a specific verdict is found by the tool. For example if a email is invalid it will state the reason why, e.g invalid syntax, no MX record, undeliverable etc

Yeah, I reckon so.

This is just the beginning. My aim with Servya has always been to build a system that can perform a multitude of tasks to make IMers lives much easier. The number of tools available will skyrocket with time.

That's enough waffle for now, time for me to get back to work.

Since posting this I actually paused bringing anyone on while I implemented a bunch of changes that were suggested from one of the testers. The tools has come on a huge way already and I will be bringing more testers on very soon. I will contact you guys when we are onboarding more testers.
