I have a Concrete Company GBP that is ranking as good as possible in the local area. Have it rented to a client and it has been ok so far. Recently he told me a guy has been calling him and giving him free leads that he generates. Has gotten like 8 in the last week or something. The GBP has gotten none.

I realized that he was running search ads and that's how he was getting leads. His landing page is horrible looking and is a free .weebly website but I guess it works.

Someone please help me understand how the GBP is not getting any leads. It has real looking reviews, pictures, form on website, good looking website, etc.

It's getting traffic and showing up in SERPS. This is from this month:

His site shows up just above the 3 pack most SERP's. I don't get how people choose an ugly website landing page over a GBP with reviews, pictures, etc to call.

Someone help me understand what I am doing wrong. Started running search ads for my client but am worried I could lose him.

You forgot to put up a livejasmine ad on it. That always gets the leads.

Couple of things. Can you track and monitor the calls your client receives? Is the client trustworthy and not skimping you on calls? Where are you ranked in the map results and what's the population of your top ranked searches? Look into e-local, ringpartner, angi also as they have payouts for referrals. e-local is the best out of the bunch IMHO.

Everything is fixed now. Client getting 50-75 calls a month now. The GBP is the best ranking one in the area.

Never heard of e-local, etc. I'll look into it but can you elaborate on this?

Sweet! As you know GBPs are the top dog for generating calls. Organic search is done and PPCall or Click is expensive. So good to hear the GBP wrinkles were ironed out.

I recommended e-local because they buy concrete contractor leads if you current buyer feel through as a backup. But if you have an actual direct buyer that's the best route to go down. Cheers to your continued success!

Thanks!
TBH have seen organic search be pretty good. Recently the site for a client of mines has been getting ~200 impressions per day and he told me calls really picked up. We have service/location pages so that might be it as were catching some long tail keywords. Also have seen SERPS where organic is over the GBP 3 pack.

What's been your experience that makes you say that?

Visibility doesn't equal conversions. Check your GBP for easy contact methods like click-to-call. Ads can sometimes outperform organic GBP listings because they're seen as more immediate solutions. Ensure your CTA is clear, and your GBP messaging directly addresses customer pain points. Test different offers and keep optimizing your ads based on performance data.

200/day impressions is nice! Smart to go with the long tail keywords. I do the same. I generate calls in the home services niche and I've noticed that the bulk majority of my calls come from my GBP. I have a lot of 1st / 2nd place ranking in organics with keywords that generate 1500 searches per month that get 0-3 calls per day but the GBP sites generate 5-10 calls per day no problem. Been in this niche since 09 and those results are consistent. I'm too cheap to do paid ads :D

How did you resolve the call volume issue, just improving rank position on page?

You really need to make sure you are tracking all the calls and clicks. This client sounds honest, but that is not always something you'll get.
