I've tried everything or so I think and I just can't push myself to do anything.

I've even tried adderall but it's too expensive for the amount I need and possibly too toxic, it works though (in higher amounts).

Start it immediately when you wake up, without making a break for at least 1 hour, that way you will enter a flow state and it will be easier to stay focused. Also you may consider vitamine B complex and iron supplements, since it will improve oxygen flow through your body, and you will stay fresh even in the evening...

You need to understand the purpose behind what you're doing. Being clear about what you're working for can make you stay motivated. Also get rid of things that distract you from doing your work.

I'm the type of person who always tries to achieve my goals before resting, so I don't know if it applies well to your case, but here's what I usually do:
Make a list of the things you will have to do tomorrow every night before
Wake up and go to work immediately, then let yourself rest every 2 hours
Find a sport and spending time on, it helps me focus both mentally and physically before I even start practicing
Hope you improve soon and achieve what you want

That works for individuals who already have their goals clear and set. And this method works because when you wake up your mind is not yet distracted by everything around, especially social media, news, noices, everything.

I've learned I can enter flow almost anytime, but... I sometimes forget about it for weeks XD

Also I do recommend blocking sites like reddit for a workday.

BTW ChatGPT is giving reasonable answers when you ask psychological questions related to goals and procrastination.

Toward the end of my day I make a list with tasks for the next day and order them by priority.
I aim to complete 80% + some non planned tasks.

Works pretty well.

I'm doing that too!

Another hint: move tasks that you DON'T want to look at in the next weeks / months, but you want to do them in some further future, and put them on a separate list. Without that you may end up like me - having a TODO.txt file of 2000 lines :P

First of all, keep in mind that you're not alone and many other people (especially affiliates) have the same problem (I'm god of that man! ;)) ; however, it's not unsolvable. Follow the steps below to keep yourself as motivated as possible:

Start Small, Dream Big:
The key to conquering mountains of work is to start with molehills. Break your tasks into bite-sized chunks, and suddenly, that Everest of assignments doesn't seem so intimidating. As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day," and your term paper won't be either.

Mix It Up:
Variety is the spice of life, and it's also the secret sauce to staying motivated. Rotate between tasks to keep things interesting. If you find yourself nodding off while working on your spreadsheet, switch gears and tackle that creative project you've been putting off. The change will refresh your mind and keep you on your toes.

Jam to Your Groove:
Music, the unsung hero of productivity! Find your groove, whether it's the soothing sounds of rainforest ambiance or the adrenaline-pumping beats of your favorite playlist. Music can transport you to a different mental space, making tedious tasks feel like a dance party (minus the disco ball).

Embrace the Pomodoro Technique:
It's not a new pasta dish; it's a time management game-changer. The Pomodoro Technique involves breaking your work into 25-minute intervals (Pomodoros) with short breaks in between. It's like a sprint for your brain, and the ticking clock becomes your competitive edge against procrastination.

Reward Yourself Like a Boss:
Remember when you were a kid, and your parents bribed you with candy to do your homework? Well, the adult version involves treating yourself to small rewards. Finish a section of your report? Snack time! Complete a task? Instagram break! Positive reinforcement works wonders.

Accountability Buddies Unite:
Sometimes, you need a wingman (or woman) in the battle against procrastination. Team up with a friend or colleague who shares your struggle. Knowing someone else is in the same boat can turn a lonely voyage into a party yacht. Share your goals, check in on each other, and celebrate victories together.

Visualize Success:
Picture the sweet taste of victory – the feeling you get when you conquer that to-do list. Visualization can be a powerful motivator. Imagine the sense of accomplishment and let it propel you forward. You're not just finishing tasks; you're winning at life.

Learn from Procrastination Pitfalls:
Reflect on your procrastination patterns. Is it social media, the allure of Netflix, or the call of the snack drawer? Identify your Achilles' heel and take preventative measures. Install website blockers, hide the TV remote, or, better yet, lock the snack drawer and throw away the key.

Hope this helps :)

If you feel it's worth your time then you'll work. If you (even subconsciusly) think it's a waste of time... Maybe it is.

So the other night I played a game or two, watched a movie, popped an adderall and went to sleep.

Today I took a shower, popped an adderall and made some chicken.

Been smoking cigarettes every now and then too.

Now I'm searching for proxies so that I can start my venture.

I'm looking to make $50K in the next 6 to 12 months so that I can start a bigger project that I have in mind.

Any ideas towards doing so are very welcome as at the moment I don't know where to start.

I guess I will make this my journey thread as without logging there is nothing to reassess or improve on.

Side note: I find it hard to get into the flow of things and then hard to maintain it, especially when doing research and not knowing where to stop.

I'm bored out of me three letters, still haven't done anything other than checking a few emails buying some proxies and eating food.

Going to go and smoke a cigarette, might watch a movie after that.

My personal belief is you need a fuel for the fire if you get what I mean. find your fuel and figure out how to get as much as you would need.
