I have a YT channel with 10k subscribers. However, the videos I post do not generate many views.

I have found another niche of videos that attracts more people, and this is what I want to ask about:

Is it a good idea to change the name of the channel, its logo, banner, etc., delete all the pre-existing videos and start uploading the new videos to be watched by the current subscribers, or is it much better to start a new channel from zero with the videos that I comment are more attractive?

I ask this same question for an X account (formerly twitter).

In X it happens that I also have an account with good followers, but the posts I normally make do not attract people to comment, give like, etc. However there are other kinds of posts that generate a better impact. Again I ask, is it better to start from scratch with a completely new account, or is it a good idea to change name, logo, banner, etc. and start with an existing follower base?

I would like to know the opinion of those who know very well how YT works and how X works.

Thanks in advance to those who answer.

I completely agree! Great idea! Me too! Of course you need to change clothes, shave and get a new hairstyle!!! Let's learn from women! I just don’t know... should I dye my hair or not?

The jokes forum is another...

Here we are looking for serious answers to serious questions. If there is nothing intelligent to say, it is better not to say anything at all.

You are very wrong! Showing serious things with a touch of humor is a great marketing ploy. People no longer accept talking about something serious with a very serious face. Learn from women. You do not want? Learn from TikTok. No offense, but it’s boring with you and it seems I’m not the only one... Over!

If you're gonna start a new channel, without changing the format of your current videos... then it probably won't take off as your current channel once did, considering people aren't watching your videos even with 10K subscribers to begin with.

What you should consider is, what is it about the competitor channel's videos that are more engaging and attract more viewers than mine?

With Twitter, it's a whole different thing.

I don't believe your previous tweets affect the performance of future ones.

If for some reason your account is being shadow banned, I would suggest letting it cool off for a while (a few weeks or a month), and then starting again.

Let's see kid, you don't come here to get bored or not to get bored, that's exactly why tiktok exists.

You come here because this is a community where people share their knowledge when they have it.

Finally, I don't give a damn if I bore you and if I bore you, move on.

Someone smart will eventually reply.

I think I have the answer to that question. That's why I want to change the format of the videos, but that would force me to change everything in the channel, starting with the name and the graphic part of it, and that's where I wonder if it would be worth doing it.

I mean, the videos that are published in the channel, are a bit similar to the ones I plan to publish, but although they are similar, they are totally different and that is what makes them more striking.

So again I ask, is it worth it to leverage on the subscribers that the channel already has, or would it be much better to create a new channel from scratch?

As for X, I will keep your suggestion in mind.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes commander, sir!
"I have a YT channel with 10k subscribers. However, the videos I post do not generate many views" (TM)
When I said Over it's mean this conversation is over! Commander..

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try creating a new channel from scratch...

In any case, you can always redirect viewers from your current channel to the new one.

Here is the correct answer,

You should simply start posting new niche videos without any edits.

Do not delete any of your content on both networks, do not change logo, or anything else.

If everything goes well, you can do it later, very simple right? You may change niche again, who knows.

Just keep working on existing accounts. Cheers

I don't know how easy it is to create a new channel and make it grow again organically. Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond.

I really want to believe that it is that simple, but I have doubts that the new videos, which may have some similarity to the old videos, have nothing to do with the name and design of the YT channel, and the same goes for the new posts I plan to make on X.

I guess making the right decision is not going to be as easy as I expected.

Changing the channels niche most likely will not work. You will end up losing all your current subscribers as they have subscribed for different content than what they will recieve in the future. Best thing is to just start a new channel completely and either continue to work on the other one or abandon it. Maybe you can even sell it for a quick profit.

as someone who has been on YouTube since the beginning I don’t see why you can’t just make new videos and use the foundation you’ve already built.

Most folks aren’t on there to write your biography of how you make videos in the past , they just wanna watch what popped up on the search or their suggestion feed.

10k subs is a nice start and tons of folks will never delete a single one just they won’t ever clean there 50,000 unread emails.

Id say just make whatever and use that channel still

Deleting the videos from the acount could affect you a lot, because your watch time will drop to 0 so better keep them and make a slow transition or create a second channel and have them both working and generating money and traffic.

Start a new channel. It will only hurt your channel if your old subs won't be watching your new videos or even dislike it, unsub etc.
It's not worth it. So even when those 10k people don't watch the content they subscribed for, what makes you think they're going to watch your new stuff? Those are probably dead subs anyway.
