Starting Web Development Company

Hello. I am a front end developer who moved in Germany around 1 year ago.
I have been doing React full time and i am very confident that i am really good into React.
I want to start taking projects on my own or even better start a company on my own to start creating my own path and be able to work for myself.
The thing is i have no idea where to start with this thing, I know a lot of other developers who can join me if i have any project or anything like that like backend and even deisgners.
But i dont know how to get my first client... I think this is the hardest thing for everybody...
To be honest i also dont have open source projects since all the companies i have worked previously i was a bit lucky to start directly to a company instead of creating projects for fun etc... so i can show to the customers the projects that are live but in the meantime thoose projects are not open source to give them more details about the code.
Another thing is that i have no idea where to start finding clients. i started with upwork quite a while ago and i had my first job (after trying and trying and trying) for 100$ which left me 5 star review. i though that would help me to get my next task or even better project, but no luck into that. so my upwork account have only 1 (5stars) review with a good comment in it.
I would really like to hear from you guys, from some who are a bit experienced in this field and i hope i can get some good knowledge where to start . since on google if you search will be like general information which is not new for someone who has been into development, and that doesnt help that much.
I would be really happy if i get some information that can help me to start with it, and hopefully i can move my idea into a jorney and even better to be a sucessfull one

Make niche specific React templates and post them on Envato.
There are sellers on Envato making a lot of money especially with Admin Templates but that niche is overcrowded.
For example Endless's react admin template is priced at just $29 with over 3k sales. That's close to 100k$ in revenue from 1 template!

Don't be scared to price your template low, focus on selling it to a lot of people.
I'm sure that as a React Dev with some decent creativity and skill you can make a great living.

Does Germany not have contract positions? In the UK, you can usually take on contract temporary positions, and financial firms paid £500+ per day in the 2010s.

Hello . Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't hesitate to go and check there and it looks like a really good idea. I did some research on Material UI , since i have worked a lot with that and i know that really well . And to be honest the competition looks crazy there. Without beeing a team with a good designer i think its not really easy to do that. i dont mind to sell it also for 10$ or even cheaper but the competition there looks really crazy. I would like to give me something more in details to help me out at this point.

No i havent. but i want to ask you do they take you seriously? I dont think a clothes shop , small restaurant or a small fast food would be happy to pay that much for a website. usually in react they take a bit of time to be created , and they cost ofcourse. But can you give me some tips, this looks like an interesting idea

This makes me really interested even that i couldn't understand exactly what you mean , what you mean with contract positions that pays 500$ + per day, this looks like the best solution for me right now to be honest

But honestly there is no market without competition. You need to go out there and put in the work, believe in yourself and keep pushing.

Call up local businesses with bad sites and just straight up tell them they have a bad site which decreases prospects' trust in them, and that you have already made them a template design for them to check out for absolutely free of charge and if they do not like it and don't want to proceed they can skip it whenever. And then just set an appointment with them and ur 90% there,

If you are good at FullStack development , maybe try with remote jobs then later move towards creating an agency .
