quick question about links from bustiness directories

going through reports of competitors i see several sites like these part of some network of directories.

they provide nofollow links . spam score 7% , DA 60.

is it worth getting listed there for authority for the nofollow links to the domain?

directories (especially the paid and popular ones) are not that bad, they can bring traffic and provide a bit of trust for your site.

But SEO-wise they're not good, and the 2 that you mentioned, in particular, are bad.

These being said, if you ever find a quality directory I would say it's worth getting listed in.

spam score is a stupid metric, invented by MOZ, google doesn't give a crap about spam scores, if you'll do keyword research long enough you will see many pages with even 100% spam score than rank up top in google, and this should tell you how important spam score is.

The directories you listed are bad because they're low quality (they look ugly, they probably have low authority and - most importantly - they're part of the same network and this network exists only for link building purposes. Bad sites no matter how you look at it)

But then again , Im looking at backlinks of well ranked competitors and they have those type of low quality links . I agree that its low quality , they seem to have those .

Also I never saw in the backlink profile too many links with high spam score

Being included in directories with a substantial DA of 60 can still have a positive impact, especially for enhancing local SEO and adding variety to your link portfolio.

For link juice it’s not useful but could be used as a small part of branding campaign depending on quality of directory
