Blog Comment Spam - Writing is an Art Form

Hey guys,

I know this is my first (maybe 2nd) post here but I had a question that I spent a lot of time searching for with no success.

I'm looking for advice on how to write great comment spam. I'm a Xrumer user, and recently jumped on the scrapebox bandwagon as well.

Most of my current comment spam is about 200 words in length, and spun. I make sure I include good technical information (I'm spamming electronics blogs), and advice based comments. I bind post them (ie autopost) so I can only cross my fingers on the actual content itself. Does anyone know of any good threads around here that talk about the art form of comment spam? I have spent about 4 hours over the past 2 days searching but didn't come up with much. I'm probably not using the right keyword phrases when searching because I'm sure you guys have covered this topic to death.

So, if someone wants to give this newb his first flaming that's cool - I get it. But I am also pretty serious about trying to find some good posts on the topic as well.

I don't personally use SB but I do spot check the outsourced links I buy regularly - One thing I've noticed is that the individual who does this for me always tailors the comments toward the site owner, so there's no worries about matching up to the content.

Ex. - "I posted about something similar on my blog last week", or "You aren't using Sociable on your blog? I installed it last week and it works great".

Here's something to think about regarding your blog commenting. How long are you spending writing each comment?

Think about all the reading and writing you've had to do about things you may not personally be interested in, and not even for a guaranteed backlink.

I spent the last 6 hours on a manual comment spam session. I got approximately 200 links. How did I do this?

I used unmoderated blogs. The average PR of the blog pages I commented on was 4, the highest was 7, and the lowest was 2.

Here's what I do:

1. Find unmoderated blog pages by following the trails of one of the millions of professional spammers out there.

2. Use a script I made to pull 3 random sentences from a non-indexed text document about my own niche. The sentences, while appearing as nonsense to a human, are semantically correct and look legitimate to the bot.

3. Quickly copy and paste the <a href= code into an appropriate place in the random sentences.

4. Post the comment. There is no moderation so it appears instantly.

It's extremely quick. What's more, it works - and this is reflected in my Google positions.

I believe you're being too cautious about relevance in blog commenting. The thought of people writing massive comments to get past a fascist moderator seriously pains me. It's just not necessary.

I personally do manual commenting. Just make sure your comments doesnt look spammy and they should pass thru moderation easily.

I am constantly seeing comments on blogs which are just lists of links to viagra sites etc and I can't help but think to myself how easy it would be for the Google bot, with all its computational power, to identify and discard such spammy links.

Therefore, I always surround my spam links with text related to my niche. Usually 3 or 4 sentences will do the job.

Well you can always search for blog posts on a specific topic, and then write a general comment about the tppic. This way your comment is targeted.

How to find good content for you posts ? Easy. Just find other spammers, see what they post, change it a little and you are ready. I can make hundreds of unique posts in minutes. Or you can just spin parts of articles. Ezine has tons of them. Some marketers really go manually, reading every blog and trying to post revelant comment. This is a big waste of time. Scrapebox also has built in page rank checker and moderated blogs checker but I found that it is faster to actually post than first check then post to filtered blogs.

It seems like everyone and their uncle is blasting out this style of comment. I must get 100 "I love your blog theme, where did you get it?" comments a day and variations of them.

Yes I do. It's nowhere near as dangerous as some people think.

Google is bound by a really difficult problem - if it decides to penalise sites based on low quality links, marketers will soon catch on and start hitting their white hat competitors.

Therefore, the worst it can really do is devalue or ignore the link if it doesn't like it.

Sandboxing can still happen though, as this is caused by un-natural link building rate, not low link quality.

Have you found negative impact direct linking from pages already containing spam text, (buy viagra etc) or do you make sure you find other pages on the same domain that have not been spammed? Ive been wondering about the potential results from direct linking from already spammed pages to a money site.

As I said earlier, the worst Google will do is ignore the link if it doesn't like it. So I do sometimes put my links on spammed pages.

When iI find a link source, I always check the other pages on the site for cleanliness and possible higher PR to see if there are better spots.

It's so rare for me to come across akismet, moderation, or even nofollow, because the people that I'm following know what they're doing. And after following professionals for a while, you'll begin to know what you're doing too.
