I recently created a Medium.com blog, would it be helpful to SEO?

I noticed Medium blogs have @ with it, like medium/@username
Let's say you post an article and gets indexed by google alright.
Then you link to your main moneysite using that medium blog, would that be like using other regular backlinks?
Or its link juice power diminished since it is going through medium website?

That's the thing, I didn't find any n0f tag when looking for them through F12, from the console, I didn't find any n0f tag at the moment, so I assumed it would be a d0f link.

As mentioned earlier, Medium's backlinks are nofollow by default. also you can search in big G.

Yes, using Medium for backlinking purposes will not be truly helpful. It might be a nice way to diversify your link profile, and add it a bit more natural looking links. But other than that, you won't get any ranking boost.

But Medium is quite powerful in other ways - you could be looking to republish content from your blog on Medium (with canonical tag pointing to the original blog version) and start getting traffic from Medium over to your website, your product or an email list.

I've seen folks pulling in thousands of visitors from Medium over to their products. I'll be looking to use something like that in the future as well.

People are using medium to post articles tailored to get traffic onto their site with a more "in depth" article or affiliate links. Ive seen many searches have medium ranking on top 5 page.

Personally, I only use Medium scarcely and it works well.

A good habit to get into is to start building relevant blogs on Medium, about 2 a week - don't add backlinks to your money site yet. Now you wait, at least 1 month or 2 and then start editing a couple of blogs per month and add then your backlink(s) to them.

This gives a more natural look and has worked well for us, as long as the content is relevant, well-written and informative.

Even if it's a nofollow link, it could add some value in terms of website trust & niche relevancy, as well as indexing,
Especially a contextual link coming from an authority website which you can get totally for free,
Just make sure your post is indexed tho, noindexed nofollow post will be pointless to get
