Hey guys,
I noticed some visits from https://raterproject.com/ today on my site.

The domain seems to be owned by Google.
Name Servers

• ns-cloud-e2.googledomains.com
• ns-cloud-e3.googledomains.com
• ns-cloud-e4.googledomains.com
• ns-cloud-e1.googledomains.com

I suspect this is their manual site rating project.

Anyone else noticed this?

I wouldnt find anything about it online but feel that is the website google gives 3rd party contracting agencies like Lionbridge, Appen etc it's rating interface to.

I think that's where these agencies get the rating tasks from. They then make those available on their websites.

I have worked for Lionbridge for a months as Search Rater so I know a bit about Google's quality rating project.

Many years ago I was scrolling through a news website which was popular in my country. There was an ad about Lio***idge. It was offering work from home job. I participated.

At that time I was new to the world of blogging and was learning SEO. After signing up at Lionsbridge, I was told my job was to rate websites.

For rating websites, I was offered the "Quality Rater Guideline" eBook. After reading the eBook I understood that Big-G was building a system to manually check websites for quality. BIG-G also developed an Android and web app to perform this task. As an SEO newbie I understood Big-G's plan.

Big-G also made me sign a contract that I would never share the eBook with anyone.

Soon, someone revealed the eBook and it went viral among internet marketers through blogs and forums.

That ebook is still available online. It has been shared many times on BHW. Even nowadays a new version is available.

I was soon thrown out of the company because my internet speed was slow and I was using a 2G mobile to connect. My IP address changed every time. The company told me that I was inappropriate as a quality rater since they have detected multiple IP changes.
