ive been on YT 15 years but only got into it
over the last year - 600 vids from 5mins - 2/3/4/5hrs
and 200 shorts,
my channel was usually 3-400 views a day all last year

Congratz, great result! YouTube is really a blackbox sometimes. You can keep uploading for month without gaining much traction and then from one day to the next they will promote your videos so that you channel goes through the roof. This is the reason why I always tell people to play the long game and focus on being consistent in uploading.
