I just had an idea and I want your thoughts. It's a little different for each industry, but let's just give an example that a lot of you might be involved in...

Business: Online Casino/Betting Site

For this example hire a bunch of people around the country you live in and/or worldwide. These people will randomly drop business cards in local casinos, restaurants, and gas stations. Business cards would, of course, have info on it and give them something like a freebie of your service.

I can only imagine that if you have enough people to hire and help drop the cards, this would be great targeted traffic directly to your business.

Thoughts? Has anyone done this? What are some unique advertising methods you use for your business?

Well, and whats the cost of hiring them? Its comes all down to CPL and ARPU.

Business card advertising is nothing new and I've done it in the past. Depending on what you are promoting and the cost of your promotion you can obviously make money. That's why business cards have been around for decades.

You need to be original in 2024! One business card that you drop somewhere is potentially one signup if they find it. If you drop 100 business cards somewhere and staff throws them away you have 0 potential customers. Unless you understand how to get cards into the hands of potential customers you have no chance of success. Even when you land into people's hands you need to understand who is receiving them.

In 2024 you better off trying fresher methods. If I were doing it why not try putting stickers with QR code into places where it can be seen by thousands. One sticker stuck to place where it will not be removed for many days / months can be seen by thousands of people. Can you do the same with 1 business card? Think differently to achieve different results!

Come on man!

How you could track your workers? How they would get money for work?
They usually can take your cards thrown in bin and get paid for work.

this is nothing new you shared here, this method can only work if you
throw that cards by yourself, or your friends.

I was also thinking about the sticker with QR thing after reading OPs message.

And this part could be solved if you make QR with a tracker for each worker to see the percentages of engagement.

I'd say it would be better to market it as an 'affiliate' opportunity rather than a job, and aim more at students/teenagers to do the work rather than paying someone an actual salary.

The sticker thought is super interesting and such a great idea! Need to make sure the sticker is made with superglue and ink that stains if wet xD

You would be better off writing a compelling cta and url on a $1 bill and handing that out.

This honestly is a great idea. Because everyone likes free money, but a casino owner should hand out free money in Vegas. Just don't get robbed xD

Interesting.....

All weather outdoor stickers can be purchased from Alibaba.

When I walk around I look and notice placements of stickers by graffiti artists. They do it for fame and try to stick it somewhere where it will be seen by lots of people. I hope to execute my sticker idea for my own projects this year. I've been studying where and what kind of offer would fit well. Next step is to wait after CNY is over because Chinese factories are not taking any orders now anyways. After their holiday I'll order few thousand stickers to spread my messages.

There are trust issues in scanning random QR. How will you overcome this ?

Rent a billboard in a middle-sized town - display your offer with a BIG URL will give you better results.
