Hey everyone, I hope you all have a great day my question here is this
What is better for SEO purposes

I have a website about tools so what is better to do in categories

Reviews ->Manual Tools and inside this subcategory to put posts or

Reviews -> Manual Tools ->Brand Name and inside Brand name subcategory to put posts?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Consider your website's specific needs, the number of brands you plan to review, and how users might navigate your content. You could also

combine these approaches by having a nested structure for broader categories like "Reviews -> Manual Tools" and a flat structure for specific brand

categories within that.

1) if you have a store that only sells tools and nothing else I would have 4 main sections and add them all to the main menu, as follows:

HOME
Store
Reviews
Blog

... and under the Store page (which could - and probably should - be a category) I would list all of the brands as sub-categories and under each brand I would sell their respective tools

On the Reviews page (which you can turn into a category if you want or if you have lots of reviews that require further siloing) you'd put all of your reviews (duh!), and under the Blog section you'd put your blog posts (if any). If you don't have any blog posts yet and / or don't intend to have a blog in the future you can skip creating the Blog page (although, for the longevity of your site and for picking up traffic for the long hanging fruit it's recommended that you do have a blog)

1) If you don't have a store and your site is purely informational I would have only

HOME
Reviews
Blog

... and put all of the content under the Blog section, while putting the reviews under the Reviews section, categorized by brand, by tool, or by both (depending on which makes the most sense to you and which version you like more).

Of course, this silo is the most basic one (but it's still good) and it's based on the info you've provided. But if your site has more stuff that you wish to include as part of your site structure (I'm thinking of services of some kind) you'd also create a Services category and add that into the main menu as well, and so on...

But if you only have a small site with a small store then approach #1 is the best IMO. At least that's how I would do it

Reviews ->Manual Tools and inside this subcategory to put posts
I'll go with this, do you know the number of available brands? Can you cover everyone of them?

The second option isn't ideal, especially for a new website.

If someone is looking for reviews of manual tools specifically and wants to see what various brands offer, your first option is straightforward and user-friendly.

It's smarter to go with Reviews -> Manual Tools -> Brand Names. A clear structure that helps both users and search engines.

You don't have to actually put the "Brand Name" categories as subcategories,
You can have both Manual Tools & Brand Name as sub-categories of the Reviews category, or simply Brand Name as a main category,
That would make better sense if someone try to check certain reviews of whatever brand, or if you're adding certain articles about, etc...

These are just main examples of what you can possibly add, it all depends on the overall website type & articles you're willing include,
Make sure to make an overall decent keyword research to have everything to add in your plan and based on that you can create the website silo

Organizing your website with "Reviews > Manual Tools > Brand Name" can offer a clearer structure. This way, visitors can easily navigate to specific brands for detailed reviews within the broader category of manual tools.

Why not dominate your niche with design a category name? Instead of using Blog, marketing, affiliate marketing, leads (common category names hard to rank for) etc,etc....

Why not create a new category? It's hard to describe, I use the example of marketer Dan Lok with his "High Ticket Closer" this would be a category name and a product. When you offering outreach services why not using boostpower as category name instead of "outreach" or "services" I hope you get the idea. Can not say if this is hard to promote like with short domain names who not make any sense, you need a lot of money to branding them. The same with the home page "Home" billions of people using this keyword hard to rank, make sense?
Why not call your "Home" page; expert, bulb, main center, the lab or something ?

For better SEO, use the structure Reviews -> Manual Tools -> Brand Name. This helps target specific brand searches and improves user experience. If your content isn't heavily focused on brands, you could simplify it to Reviews -> Manual Tools, but the brand-specific structure usually works better for visibility.

Hi! For the future of development, I would do exactly that. All the same there will be a main catalog where all the links to the goods for linking will be enclosed.

Problem with the category name "Reviews" is, millions of people using it and you are not different, not special from them. You not own the "niche" Reviews.
