There is a fanpage in France that has 1,200,000 fans... it was created 3 months ago.
The creator said that he sold it for 10,000$ on sitepoint, everyone is aware, EVEN Facebook (I'm sure). I must tell all you, the page is spamming twice a day with advertisements about restaurants, clothes and so on. This page violate Facebook Terms of Use like all others who get deleted (or pub rights blocked). How come this page is still online so long ? Everyone know about this page and is the most popular in France.

This pisses me off because my pages have 400,000 fans and are NOT different than this one, but are deleted or have pub rights blocked within days. Important to mention, I never advertised anything.

And also, two other pages have +1 milion fans and still have pub rights. (on of them has 1,600,000).

If I am allowed, I'll post a link here so you can see the page... I'll also give you the link where he claim he sold it (it's the first link in Google!)

Will I get banned if I post the page here so all you can see? It's not mine, btw ;)

there may be lots of factors into this, one I think its the language, french but this is not decisive, there is a strategy behind this and we have to figure it out, if we can`t we should quit :D

P.S. you shouldn`t post it if its not yours, who`s interested will ask a PM

Maybe he is just lucky. They allow him doing what he wants :D The page is as stupid as only a kid could create it.

Btw, what kind of strategy are you both talking about ?

Maybe FB can't read french?

Lol it's not the problem. You think pages that are not in english remain unnoticed ? Wrong!

French pages take longer to get noticed and then disabled (1 week maximum). This one lasts 3 months, posting almost everyday advertisements and is the most popular in France. That's all.:o
I'm 100% sure facebook is aware of this page, but the thing I'll never understand - why this page lasted and not all mines.

Its very simple to get it banned. Just post the link here :D or spam DP with it ehh!

It's useless. FB is aware of this page and no matter what we do, it won't get banned. We must find why does the page lasts.

Maybe he is spending a lot of money in Facebook Ads, and FB doesnt care what he advertises :/

Send me a link to the page, I'll see what I think.

EDIT: Just got a link to the page VIA PM - Well the main thing here is that there is no FBML on the page, no javascript etc, etc. The offers they have aren't very obvious as being affiliate links, they are just getting past facebooks radar - considering the page is in french!

Most pages don't have FBML. This page does not represent a person, brand or product and is still VIOLATE FB's terms of use. How come so many pages got publishing rights blocked while they're the same as this one ? The same and NOT different.

I had a page with 15,000 fans which was blocked. I don't see why my page was blocked withing 1 week and his wasn't, which has 1,200,000 fans and is still online for 3 months (+ not to mention all advertising, making aware that the page was sold and so on). As for me I never posted anything....!

And, do not think that if a page is in French, it could get 'Past Facebook Radars'. That's ridiculous.

I can't get it....
